Book likes: if it's printed, I'll probably read it---library bookbag sales have been my downfall.

Shelf lists mostly the books I've read since I joined Shelfari, though I add things I've read previously or that I have waiting to be read as I come across them.

Oh and I added some things that are on my Amazon list to my wish... more »

I was just thinking it was very cool. Since going back to school, I've missed hiking like I use too - the time doesn't seem to be there all that much. This past summer I got some done on my trip but it wasn't the same.

Make sense. I know I don't ever have time to just pick something random off my tbr, even! It's always trying to find something (ideally from the tbr) to match some group or game! The odd time I am able to pick something, I tend to go back and continue my never-ending bunny hop! :-)

Hi Jen! I'm just curious - are you still doing the random book choice each month from the library? How is that going?

Anything by Diane Mott Davidson is good and tasty too! I've read many of her books, and of course, her description of life in Colorado makes me like her too. And the fact that her character goes to church. I like that. Food, Church and the beauty of Colorado makes for great storytelling.

I can wait. I have a huge tbr stack and then I would get a cool surprised after the first of the year. Is there something else you'd like in exchange for the extra books?

That is so what I get for quick reading. I got your book, for some reason I thought you'd gotten mine. AHH! I'm tired and its been a long day. :) I am excited to read the book you donated. It sounded interesting but not something I may pick up on my own.

Welcome to 1001 books. You can keep track of the books you have read from the book, 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die, join in the discussions on the books we are reading for the month (BOTM) or you can debate the merits of the list as some enjoy doing. We hope you will want to join in the choosing of BOTM and the discussions. The current books are pinned to the top for that month. There are older discussions that can be found by searching discussions. If there is any way the group administrator can help further feel free to ask one of us. If you don’t own the book the list can be found at the top in the group description or at http://www.listology.com/content_show.cfm?content_id=22845. A downloadable list of the second edition is available at http://johnandsheena.co.uk/books/?

    Hey Jen,

    How goes it?

Just started school this week and the body is exhausted but the mind is racing – overall it feels terrific to be back in the classroom.

This summer my latest book was released – “Roam Italy: A Teacher and His Students Take the Ultimate Class Trip.” The book’s website is www.theclassroombook.com if you wanted to check things out.

Possible tornado warnings in NJ this weekend so I best head for cover…

I like being back on the east coast. It feels like being back home. But, I miss a lot of the scenery of CA. Driving down to Monterey or Santa Cruz or Tahoe or Napa. Oh well...just have to go back for vacation! :)
