hi. love this concept. Not on the computer so much so I'm not sure how well I'll do keeping up but ALWAYS in need of suggestions. I just started my shelf so it will change much in the coming days.
Ah, Ian McEwan - contemporary British author of fiction. I love everything British, probably to a fault. His prose is exquisite and so very real. Reminds me of John Updike without some of the tiresomeness Updike can produce. His books are not G-rated so be forewarned. Not romancey trashy though, either. Just raw. Atonement is by far my favorite - a good place to start. Not too fond of Cement Garden - pretty dark. Library has a good bit of the titles I've read, a few on tape/cd which is a great way to do it if you are not sure you want to commit. :)
