Thanks, Yvette! It does turn out to be a bit of a sacrifice. Honesty compels me to admit, however, that the reason is not really spiritual--I just have a backlog of nonfiction, which I tend not to pick up when I have a novel going! Some of it is interesting reading; some of it is a bit of a slog, but stuff that I really want to get through--for example, the History of Christianity.
