because you simply need to combine the works with the already correct version. We don't edit the details of each individual edition. Always combine first.

    Hi Elizabeth,

If you get a chance you should look at my Wish List. They are books I need for class, so keep an eye out for them for me!

    Have a good day,

A trick that's often used for combining books *without* needing to set an author first is to add them to a temporary list. You could have a Community List called 'Blue Cypress Books temporary list' or similar. Adding books to a list does not require any approval. You can combine books from a list in much the same way as you can combine them from the Author's page. Hence you can submit the combination request with less waiting around for approval first.

And once they are combined then you can just set the Author once on the combined book. Just remember to remove the temporary list when you're done.

You can also combine books from the Search results page too of course. But it can be tricky to find everything that way.

Hey there, I think I've found those Franklin edits for you. The queues are a bit backed up at the moment, especially the queue for Contributor changes. But they weren't lost. They just hadn't been processed yet.

I apologize for deleting that book from the listing. I'll go ahead and add it back in. It's been a while since I've read the book, and I didn't remember it being mentioned. Like I said, if there is any content for any of those sections, by all means go ahead and unhide them and populate them with content. But if not, there's no reason to unhide them. Pretty much everything on the Book Detail Pages, except for the specific Editions of the books you choose, is visible to everyone on Shelfari. Thanks, and sorry for the confusion!

    Dear Sir,

There's really no reason to continue to unhide certain sections on the book detail page for The Stolen Child. The book hasn't been around all that long, so it's unlikely that it's yet inspired any books. It's equally unlikely, being a fiction book, that it will either be cited or cite any other books. I've read it, and I don't recall any books being cited in it. Unless this changes, there's no reason to have these sections on the page. Please refrain from unhiding them in the future, unless you have some content to actually add to them. Thanks!

    Michael.

Welcome to the group based on the book 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die.
There is a general explanation of the group under the discussion thread GROUP GUIDELINES.
    The books of the month (BOTM) that the group is reading are pinned to the top. May BOTM are;
    1. Choke by Palahniuk, Chuck, 2. Dr. Zhivago by Boris Pasternak 3. Titus Groan by Mervyn Peake 4. Works of Poe
We are also starting something new. It will be a Long Read consisting of books from the list that are greater than a 1000 pages. The group will be starting with War and Peace by Tolstoy.
June’s BOTM are The God of Small Things by Roy, Wide Sargasso Sea by Rhys and Midnight’s Children by Rushdie. I will post new discussion questions in June.

I just reviewed David Foster Wallace's Hideous Men essay collection, and was relieved to find someone else (you) saw him as "indulgent."

I always write my reviews before I read any others so I am sure to say what I mean. Anyway I am glad I am not alone on that one.

I think you would and himself would really enjoy Good Evening Mr. and Mrs. America, and All the Ships at Sea. It's a terrifically well written written novel about a young man deeply impressed, and increasingly involved, in the events of 1964, and his life in the DC area...sort of a coming of age in the Civil Rights era, in the shadow of Kennedy's recent assassination...he begins to develop, and the writing deepens as the novel progresses...
