I asked GOD to give me a Fresh Flower,
He gave me an Ugly Cactus.
I asked GOD to give me a Butterfly,
    He gave me a cattepillar.
I was so disappointed and sad!
A few days later, the Cactus grew beautiful flower on it and
the cattepillar became a beautiful Butterfly.
That is the way GOD makes thing. He made beautiful thing at the right time.
So don't worry and be happy of what you have now.
Coz you will never know what might come to you .

    Friendship Garden

Friends, like flowers, come in all shapes and sizes,
They are quick to our side when the need arises.
They add variety and interest to our lives,
Without them we wonder if we could even survive.

They make a cloudy day seem sunny,
Sometimes they are serious, other times funny.
Our best interest they have at heart,
And always are sad when it is time to part!

Hi bill, thanks for dropping a note. Yes, history is one of my favorites. Currently, I am interested in Europe history 1939-1945, Chinese 1921-1945 as well as the rise/fall of communism. Those are the periods that so much had occurred and vast majority of people had been impacted. To understand the rise and fall of communism is something fascinating to me too.
I am reading 'the conquerors" and "how Hitler could have won World war II".
    How about you?

    hi bill
i have sent you a recommendation for a book i thought you might be interested in... it is similar to "A Child Called It". there is another one i have read that was very good, buth i can not find it listed on shelfari ~ this one was called "Mummy's Witness", by Gayle Sanders ~ this one was also a true story about a girl that witnessed her father kill her mother after experiencing years of neglect and abuse. I have actually read a lot of books similar to this... so I am not "shocked" anymore, I think the more you read about it the more de-sensitized you become.

Thanks for the invite. My favorite American history author is Doris Kearns Goodwin. I really enjoy her books. My least favorvite are most Civil War history because I find they go over every detail of every battle. I enjoy the few I have found that don't. I also read a good series in 8 volumes by Paige Smith dyanny
