This is a remarkable story about the making of Oxford English Dictionary which took seventy years. The Editor of the book was James Murray and there were several associates who helped him in bringing the book they used to be called word catchers who read a large number of books to find words, the change in meaning the word has undergone etc one of these assistant was Dr.W.C.Minor who spent 20 years in a mental asylum in Berkshire,England who had accidently killed a man when he was suffering from mental disorder. This book is a remarkable story of the history of English Dictionary, about Dr.Minor,Jame Murray the great scholar etc.Remarkably told by Simon Winchester.A wonderful book

It is a highly popular book in which Fritjof Kapra says that though the ways of Moderen physics and eastern mysitcism are different they reach at the same point of view. The first four chapters are very interesting after that Capra goes into physics which may be tough. One may agree or disagree with Capra but this is a fanstastic book

Novel is set in the backdrop of Moscow Trials,in which 70% of top communist leaders were eliminated by Stalin(1934-38).Story unfolds through the diary of Rubashev a communist leader who was arrested on charges of a conspiracy to kill the No.1 (Stalin). Brilliant and analytical . Truly a class novel. No doubt

What I liked about this book was its readability. The pace it sets is truly amazing.Though I was a bit disappointed with the end.Especially Teabing coming as the villain

One the best sellers in CHINA.It is the story of FUGI who squanders all his wealth and begins his new life in which he realises the struggles of life. But when he begins his new life disasters one after the other strikes him.Set in the backdrop of Chiang Gishek and Cultural revolution we get a great deal about the village life in those times. The greatest qulity I found in this book is its plain simplicity. The novelist speaks from his heart. Some of th tragedies ,the death of Fugi's son ,wife etc are really moving.Inspite of all these tragedies,Fugi lives with optimism.

What can I say about this great soul.I feel really proud to have been born in the country of this great man. The greatest qulaity i see in him is that he practised what he preached. His Autobiography is proof of that. One of the most remarkable and honest autobiographies of all times.

I liked the ending of the book very much. It was excellent. There is a shor stry by Borges with the same theme in which A man from cairo goes to Persia in search of wealth only to realize that it is in Cairo itself like the character Santiago in this novel.May be that story is a popular Arab story and Borges and Paulo Coelho have given different dimensions.
