“Happiness is not a possession to be prized, it is a quality of thought, a state of mind” Daphne Du Maurier

I am 25 years old and am an avid reader ever since I started putting my letters together to make words. I was fortunate to have a great set of grandparents that bought me books and fostered my reading. Now since I have to fund my reading habit, I work as an OR nurse (totally love my job!). When not working or reading, I like to scrapbook and hang out with my friends and family. I do cardiokickboxing/strength and tone classes as well, it's terrific and I recommend it for everyone. (Still a work in progess though some nights to drag myself to the gym.
I like to read books from many different genres, all types of books grace my bookshelves... I do tend to read more mysteries, historical fiction, travel memoir books, new releases (I like to know what is new/upcoming in books) etc. I love book recommendations and hope to find some new favorite authors! One annoyance I do have... don't try to add me as a Shelfari friend just to "plug" your book. « less
