I am 26 years old and am an avid reader ever since I started putting my letters together to make words. I was fortunate to have a great set of grandparents that bought me books and fostered my reading. Now since I have to fund my reading habit, I work as an OR nurse (totally love my job!). When not working or reading, I like to scrapbook and hang out with my friends and family. I do cardiokickboxing/strength and tone classes as well, it's terrific and I recommend it for everyone. (Still a work in progess though some nights having to drag myself to the gym. I also collect tea cups and coronation china pieces. I have been known to buy vintage beer glasses, I have a few prize ones from England and Germany that I love.
I like to read books from many different genres, all types of books grace my bookshelves... I do tend to read more mysteries, historical fiction, travel memoir books, new releases (I like to know what is new/upcoming in books) etc. I love book recommendations and hope to find some new favorite authors!
One annoyance I do have... don't try to add me as a Shelfari friend just to "plug" your book. Also, save the friend invite unless you plan on conversing with me more than once and please, let us have some common interests. It kind of makes the whole "friendship" thing work.
