Hello! I am really excited about this website because I love sharing ideas and opinions about "good" books. I have been an avid reader for many, many years. Of course I have gone through many book-type phases in my lifetime so I have a pretty diverse reading selection.
In my 20's I was really into the true-crime topic and really loved Ann Rule's writing. I read her book Small Sacrifices a long time ago, but the impact she brought to the pages keeps that story in my mind still.
In my 30's,I got into the Oprah Book Club and read most of the books on her reading list. I had to deviate from it often because she wrote powerful but sad stories. So to stop me from whirling mentally into a black hole I read happier, brain-candy books.
I am now 40 and what is the way to celebrate a monumental age change???? Janet Evanovich and her Plum series. I read all thirteen very quickly and had such a fun time talking with friends about the characters and scenes that I am really looking forward to her Fourteenth.
All in all I am a sucker for a good read. So any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
