FYI, I just finished an advanced reader of the new Jonathan Franzen: "Freedom." It is crushing. Emotionally very difficult, but arguably better than "The Corrections" which is, I think, one of the five best novels of the last ten years (if not twenty). The books comes out at the end of the month.

If you have not read it, I really recommend "This is Where I Leave You" by Jonathan Tropper. It is the funniest book I've read in years.
