Hey Ben, I've written a book that you might like - if you want me to send you a copy, let me know. More info available at...http://www.darkwindows.co.uk/Dark_Windows/Information.html
Hey,You're the one who got me to join Shelfari and you haven't posted anything new for 9 months. I haven't been back either until today. I guess you're pretty busy these days.We saw you guys (Dirtbombs) at the Troubadour (I think it was-well, it was LA, I get the clubs confused sometimes) in June. Gratifyingly awesome show. The addition of Ko was a nice touch, and "We Have You Surrounded" is an incredible album, my favorite Dirtbombs so far.I played "Wreck My Flow" as part of my classroom music rotation last year and created several new Dirtbombs fans among my 8th grade Algebra students.
Middlesex is one of my favorite books. I especially loved the description of Michigan Central Station in its heyday--makes me wish more than ever I could have seen it then. What a great story.
you were in my town of adelaide recently. ha. cool. did you like it? or maybe i am wrong and going on a random incorrect tangent. please disregard this awkwardly articulated note if I am thusly mistaken.
White Noise, Don Delillo. Kills.
Is it okay to list audiobooks? They should have a qualifying icon of a cassette, or an ear. I actually prefer Chronicles as read by Sean Penn vs. the written version. Now your self has inspired me to search for an audio version of Strunk & White. Hopefully read by Sebastian Cabbott.
Hey, i see you've read slaughterhouse 5. I read that recently, what did you think of it? Did you find it annoying when it kept skipping to different times in his life? I only found that towards the end of the book really, and felt it ended a bit too suddenly. I was wanting more.
Is the Elliott Smith biography any good?
I'd never heard of this site, but it's really great! It's strangely satisfying to see all my pretty books lined up like that, so thanks for letting us White Stripes list peeps know about this.
I noticed that you read a lot of books with subtitles. I read a lot of Danielle Steele.
I'm telling Grandma you read the Da Vinci Code..............
Flip through Diary of Indiginites by Patrick Hughes. I liked it, he curses like I do.
How was NYC? I work for a radio station, kbeach.org, @ Cal State Long Beach. Our station went to the CMJ, but I opted to see Boris in L.A. I dig Shelfari
Thanks for the ad. Hope you've read Please Kill Me.
This site is awesome.
just got your (ws list) email... funny cause I was just thinking of trying to get litte roomers to "friend' me on here....
hey thanks for the invite. this is so fun!
what, no psychotic reactins and carburetor dung?
Ben, please say that your sending out the invite to your entire database was not a sneaky way to plug the WS book...
