“Entertaining with some fun magic ideas. Plot lines a little predictable, but it's probably meant for teens anyway. Gets better in book two.”

“I'm a little tired of dystopian novels, but Daynight has a unique and fresh story line that didn't have any trouble keeping my interest. In fact, it was hard to put the book down! It has a good balance of action and romance. The characters are well done. I'm anxious for the sequel!

“Because Larson chose to tell about the Dodds, family of an American Ambassador to Germany as the Nazis were gaining power; all the other characters we know so well (Himmler, Goring, Goebbels, and of course, Hitler) seem all the more dispicable. In addition, the reader learns how false...”

“Fascinating read. Well-written. The author helps you see how Amanda Knox and her boyfriend became a suspect in this murder; but it's also terrifying that she came very close to being in jail in Italy for the rest of her life. Was glad to get the real story.”

“Magnificent writing about the fire of 1910, the biggest fire in U.S. history. Egan, a pulitzer prize winning journalist, combines elegant writing about a swatch of Montana and Idaho that was ravaged by a hurricane of flames. Egan includes interesting real-life accounts of the people who were...”

“I was enchanted through 2/3 of the book but for me it took too long for the two main characters to meet and the truth is, I don't love fantasy the way most people do. It lagged 2/3 through for me.”
