one of the most perfect graphic novels i have ever read. each line, each frame suggests all the emotion of its characters. a great plot and heartbreaking emotions. hard to put down

    Consider the Lobster

    by David Foster Wallace
    • Rated 1 stars

wallace is the most self-aggrandizing and ultimately boring author i have ever read. he picks topics that are unusual or perhaps takes a different look at the ordinary ... a tact that starts each essay with the thought that this could be interesting. but his interminable footnotes that scream "look at me! look at me! i am a cool author!" ruin any flow and are superfluous and would be better served in the text of the piece. he is obviously a very intelligent and clever writer but seems consumed to reveal that he is uber-cool , perhaps writing from the chelsea hotel in the 70's ... but it all seems like he is just putting on some jazz hands.
