I am an attorney and also a mother of two children. I have always loved books and want to instill a love of books and reading to my children. My favorite books are ones that have a story that is so rich and engaging that I can't stop thinking about it long after I have closed the cover. I also like to read some non-fiction if the story is... more »

Feel free join in with any of the discussions already on the board or start up a new one any time you like.
Again, glad you joined up and I look forward to picking at the threads with you.
    See you around the shelves.

Hi Heather J. I stumbled upon your "shelf" and excited to see that you are reading our book Balance Is A Crock. Would love your feedback on the book and thanks for your support. I take it your an expectant and/or working mom so I'm sure you get how hard it was to find the time but...
    Cheers,

Hi Heather! Thanks for the add. I have looked at NPR in the past, but I subscribe to Entertainment Weekly, so I've been getting most of my suggestions from their reviews. I will have to check out NPR again though...I love their newly designed site!

As for the Julia Glass, I very much enjoyed "Three Junes." However, the last two I read were a bit of a disappointment because I was expecting more of the same.

Have you read "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao"? Best book I've read in a long time, I must say.

Anyway, looking forward to talking with you more about books. Take care.
