Breezysla

Hey, my name is Sabrina. I've been married almost 18 years. We have 4 children. Oldest 16 youngest 2. As you can probably tell by my pict I'm LDS.

I will read just about anything that I can get my hands on, as long as there is no cursing and no sex scenes. I read to escape the severe pain that I live with every day. So if anyone... more »

Thanks for your note--and I did look at your shelf! Wow! It is nice to find others with the same standards in books. I hate to pick up a book and just get into the story and get bombarded with unwanted "stuff." Take care!!

Thanks! I read way too much (is that even possible?)! I'm LDS too (which you can probably tell by my book selection). I've been married 18 years as well, so we seem to have much in common!

I have them all in order on my book shelf, or you can go to www.ameliapeabody.com. There is one, "Guardian of the Horizon", that is published later but should be read after "The Ape Who Guards the Balance". Lion in the Valley is a good one to start with, too!

I skimmed through your shelf, seeing if there is anything I can recommend to you that you don't already have on your shelf. I HIGHLY recommend Elizabeth Peter's Amelia Peabody series. They're wonderfully funny. If you haven't already started, read "Crocodile on the Sandbank" first, as it is the first novel, and introduces all the characters. I like to read them in order, because while they do stand alone, the characters to age. Each book is about a different archeological season in Egypt. I also recommend Shannon Hale, "The Goose Girl". Based on the fable of the same name. Brandon Sanderson is another author that I try to get my friends to read. His novel "Elantris" is wonderful, and the "Mistborn" series is great. I'm 90% certain he is LDS, and there are no pages to skip in any of his novels. I love reading, too, and it is my great escape!

Thank you! My husband thinks they are going to take over the house some day. I have been going through them and trying to decide what to donate to the library!

Thanks! I took that while BreAnna and I were hiking in Lake Catherine State Park. I think I chased that silly butterfly for 30 minutes before I got the shot.

Hey Breezy. Sorry it's been awhile since I dropped by. Life has been INSANE and really doesn't promise to get any better. But I wanted to drop by and tell you thanks for the 4th of July wishes, its one of two most favorite times of the year. Man, I LOVE AMERICA!

I hope everything is running smoothly in your life, and if not smoothly . . . at least interesting.

Thanks, Breezy. Iris Johanseon is what I call a "page skipper" because there are inappropriate scenes once in awhile. I'll check out "Pretend You Don't See Her." Thanks.

Breezy, I was just checking your shelf out. You know I've never read a Mary Higgins Clark, I'm not sure why. I'll have to give one of her books a shot. Which one do you recommend I begin with? In other words, which one is your favorite?

Breezysla, I'm a book junkie too. I think my husband is in total despair sometimes. But I always reply to him: I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't play video games. I don't play around. I just buy books. He always laughs and shakes his head.
