My earliest and most fond memories of childhood involve reading. I loved reading the comics section of the Sunday paper, the encyclopedia, street signs, comic books, labels on cleaning supplies, various series....the list was really endless.
I asserted my independence with Saturday afternoon trips to the Library with friends. I can remember lying in bed with my mother when I was about 7 years old; each of us totally engrossed in our reading. As an only child I found this quiet time for reading and reflecting very special.
Now with a husband and children of my own I still find solace in lying in bed reading with my children.
In addition to reading I love writing as well. While freelance writing has allowed me the freedom to be more active in my children’s education I also enjoy blogging. On my Blog entitled Cell Block M, the M represents marriage of course. CBM chronicles some of the issues I face as a new wife and mother of three. I hope this Blog will be a resource for other couples. After all trying to manage the daily grind, a blended family and maintaining my sanity must be challenging for others as well.
As a Content Producer with AssociatedContent.com I have been given an opportunity to show case my poetry as well as work regarding daily events.
I hope to become a published author someday. I have been tossing around some ideas about childrens and young adult books. I’m proud to say that I am a part of reading and reading is a part of me, adoro la lectura!
