    Dear Shelton,

I finished reading your book last night in one go....:) It is beautifully written and very touching. Intriguing in a subtle way that captivates from page one and keeps one turning the pages.

My heart went out to Betty.... I really wanted to reach out to her....I wish I was there with her at her trying times...like you felt a million times....and save her!

You have written in a style...your own unique style.... a reader easily identifies with the characters who are "real" of this life and is engrossed till the end...the last page.

Loved it Shelton....Won't be able to forget you for what you did for Betty!!

There are a very few people like you in this world and it is my privilege and honour to know you....:) Hats off to you!

    My best wishes for you....:)

    Lubna.

PS: Is the screenplay for this book you mentioned in your last mail? You rest assured it would definitely be a runaway success.....:) Its a touching story, if dealt sensitively it would touch millions of hearts..like it did mine!! ...Inshallah!....I wish I was part of it too....:)

My review of "Washed in the Blood"

'Washed in the Blood' is a soul stirring and heart rending homage to Betty Jean Williams by Shelton L. Williams her cousin who loved her and lost her very young, a life so brutally cut short in her prime. A true, honest and beautifully written memoir.

Betty a fiery, feisty teenager, passionate about theatre and acting, drama in her blood was killed under mysterious circumstances; mystery of her death remains unsolved even today. Betty and Shelley had the same upbringing, values, religious restrictions, same suffocating emotional blackmails by overbearing fathers. Betty succumbed to her insecurities, to her unresolved issues, to her incomprehensible confused thoughts those that were beyond her teenage mind by committing a dramatic suicide or maybe murder? An unanswered question. A captivating page turner, an unforgettable story that would remain with you for a long time and so would Betty.
