He doesnt write mysteries. At least not in the conventional sense. It is more like a series of gentle anecdotes and set in Botswana. A lot of humour as well. Over here they just filmed the first book to great acclaim. I must admit I was put off as well at first by the title but after reading one, I read them all. See what other people are saying anyway maybe.

Thanks for the add...and the recommendation. I think I've read "Map of Bones." When I went to reserve it from the library, I recognized the book cover!

    Happy New Year,

    Hey Claire,
Always coming up with new ideas! This is a great one and motivating to get those books moving off my shelves! I'll have to get my list out and try to get a profile going!

Hi Claire - I love this site. I've got to add more books! I did see that you have read The Blind Assassin. I've had it on the shelf for a long time and just haven't picked it up yet. I think I'll do that tonight!
