Hello Debbie P,
Hope you are well! Shelfari is a community for readers to connect with other readers and authors, to share and learn from each other.
May I begin by asking, "Have you ever been inspired by someone the world considered uninspiring?" If so, then how about a wild ride through history, myth, legend and lore? You will learn secrets of Westminster Abbey and Stonehenge in a story inspired by an amazing real person.
That's right, a real person, the most unlikely fellow to ever conceive in such an adventure. I would like very much to share with you about this fine young man and why he had such a profound influence in my life.
My name is Otis Farmer, and I would like to invite you to take an exciting and enlightening journey in my new book, Merlyn And The Mortal's Curse, a fantasy novel where Merlyn is forced to travel to the present in order to save mankind. He must take a reluctant, modern lad back to pre-Camelot, where their action packed adventures take them around the world, through time and a dimensions. Thank you for your valuable time and consideration! I hope you will join Merlyn and Lance, and that you will enjoy your adventure with them.
Thanks so much for accepting my friend request. While I have you here, I was wondering . . . would you be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
Mine is a short list of books I am currently using for my classes. My freshman love Hole in my Life. I am developing Nineteen Minutes for my Comp II Lit course. If you read, I'd love some teaching suggestions. I have lots of imagery, thematic issues, characterization activities, I am looking for more symbolism to point out to students. I'd love any ideas!
