Well, that stinks that you have been out of work for so long. At least you have something to do (LOL). I hope that you will be able to go back soon. Your injury sounds like it hurts a whole lot! I hope that everyone gets well soon!! I hope that your husband doesn't get that nasty cold either. I managed to plug through Les Miserables. It took me about 2 weeks to read it. I had a hard time getting into it and once I got going, I couldn't stop. It wasn't too bad. I can now say that I have read it and I don't plan on reading it again anytime soon, LOL! I have so many books in my room to get through. I had actually just taken quite a few out of the library myself the last 6 weeks or so. I am reading Relentless by Dean Koontz now and that's a pretty fast read too.I have quite a few Debbie Macomber books and Nora Roberts books to get through here at my house. It's insane. Some of them I borrowed from a friend and a few of them I own. I agree that Debbie Macomber's boods is are quick and fun reads. Janet Evanovich are some pretty quick reads too. I just read a couple of hers. I will be thinking of you and hope that everyone gets over their colds and that your shoulder heals soon!!I hope to hear from you soon!!
I am sorry about your migraines. I hope that gets resolved and they can figure out what's wrong. I am reading Les Miserables. It's taken me about a week to get halfway through. I am hoping to make even more of dent over the rest of the weekend. i have also been reading a lot of Janet Evanovich books, Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series, Nora Roberts, and Dean Koontz. There are a lot of those books left for me to go, but we're getting there. I still have a huge pile that I swap with people at work and books that i had gotten at our church fair. I have a long way to go I'm afraid. I think that I might have read one or two of Heather Graham books a long time ago, but I am not really sure.
Great to hear from you!! I have definitely missed talking to you. I am doing pretty well. I am about to be an aunt again for the 4th time. I will have a new nephew at the end of july or beginning of august. The little girl in my picture is going to be a big sister. she is actually 2 now and her sister is going to be 5 in May so the four almost 5 year old will be off to kindergarten in September. Amazing h ow fast time goes by. What's new with you? Hopefully some exciting things. I am definitely glad to hear from you!! ;) hope to hear from you soon!!!
Hi! How are you? Just wanted to let you know that I finally finished book two in the Wilderness series by Sara Donati and it was amazing! Definitely read the series! I'm on book three now.
Aww, good 'ol J-town :)! It's probably completely different now than the way you remember it. I've lived here my entire life (28 years :p) and things are so different than what I remember as a child.Any who... I'm glad you've decided to join our humble abode ;p!
Thanks for the Happy birthday. We just came home from an overnight down in connecticut at Foxwoods. I almost finished Heart of The Sea by Nora roberts. I have about 30 pages left and I am going to read Plum Lucky by Janet Evanovich which looks like a fast read and won't take too long. I have to go back to work on Monday so that means less reading time again, not that I had a whole heck of a lot while i was on vacation. my sister and my nephew were home and i HAD to do everything with them and my sister was kind of a pain in my butt, but anywho, i feel like i need a vacation from my vacation. lol. well, off to see how much more reading i can get done before my other sister and my nieces come over. yippee.
The Time travelers wife I saw the preview in the movies when I went to go see umm My sisters keeper. Great movie the love interest of the girl dying I actually use to babysit him and play with him (Thomas Dekker)! Anyways they had the preview and I jumped out of my seat and was like I got to read the book!!!!!!! The girl from the Notebook is in it and King Henry from the Boelyn Sisters is the husband he is so McDream right!!! Maybe, Ill wait to read the book until I watch the movie so Im not disappointed I find that if I read the book I feel like to much is missing from the movie. Like I watched Twlight first the read the books and felt like I had more insight to each seen versus they were missing something from each scene! Is it a slow read The Time Travelers wife?
No its by Elizabeth Lowell. A Romance novel. Its the medevil series about these Warriors that have these obligations to the Land or the people and because they have been through such a hard time in war feel like there is no possible way they will love the women they are betroved too. The women one way or another have been scored by society or by their family and feel like thier husbands can never truly love them because of who they are. They have all these hopes of love secretly and that there husbands will love them but feel like its impossible and through these challenges and mishaps they grow closer together and realize that has much passion they have for their husbands the husbands have the same fire for them. In some parts in gets pretty steamy but I just love how much they love each other and how they over come to possess the elusive love they feel has evaded them thier whole lives. Each book is about each of the Warriors individually and so has you read it breaks down each love and each ones story. I really love them alot. What is the book by Suzanne I have never heard of it? Is it good?
Covet is a new series J.R. Ward is writing. It's about fallen angels and I'm pretty sure Lassiter is in them. I think it's out in September '09. Look at amazon.com, I'm pretty sure they have a synopsis on there. Did you see the cover!? HHHOOOTTT!!!
I forgot to mention that the other reason that we are going to Foxwoods tomorrow is because yesterday was my birthday so we are going to go and play a little. I hope I win!
Well besides from the heat, I am glad to hear that you had a nice day. The Grapes of Wrath is a hard book to get through. I am reading Tears of The Moon by Nora Roberts now. My mom and I are taking a little road trip to Connecticut tomorrow and i think that if she is driving, then I will be doing a little reading. Connecticut is about a 3 and a half to four hour drive from here, so i have to keep my self amused somehow. we are going to foxwoods as an overnight fun thing to end my vacation from work. i took a relaxing day today to sit and read and finished Jewels of the Sun and read about half of Tears of the Moon. I have about 80 pages of that left, so maybe if I get lucky, I might be able to finish it. I still have to put my clothes together for tomorrow night. What are you reading now besides the Grapes of Wrath? I am going to read Heart of the Sea by Nora Roberts next to finish the trilogy and then I am not sure after that. I think it might be Mr. and Miss Anonymous by Fern Michaels. I am not sure yet. Well, let me know how you do with the Grapes of Wrath!!!
I had a blast on the 4th of July!!! How was yours? I haven't had time to read lately but Im heading for books 2day for sure. How is your Nora Roberts book going? On vacation from GOW totally understandable. I actually ordered some books off of Amazon and have been waiting for them to arrive because I got the book called Forbidden! Great read. Oh yeah I saw my sisters keeper and they had this movie called " The time travelers wife" but its also a book and it looks like a great read and the girl from The Notebook is in it and I just love her! Maybe Ill check that out today!
I love alpha males too. The brothers are so great because while they are alpha males, they're not controlling or abusive or anything like that. They're just the perfect males! :D I've heard that JM's book will be next too. After Covet. I'm really excited for that one to come out. Are you?
You're welcome! It's impossible not to be truly, madly, crazy in love with the Brothers ;)!It's a small world isn't it!? What part of Louisville did you live in while you were here??
Well, that's good that your mom has been helping you with the Grapes of Wrath. I hear what you mean about can't wait to finish a book. I had the same feeling about the Iris Johansen one that I just read. I had been trying for about 3 days or so to finish it and every time that I would sit to finish, someone else made me get side tracked with something. My sister (who is also Andrea E.) came up Wednesday with my nephew and his babysitter (who is also my sister's friend). We put my dad's boat in the boat parade. We made a "Millfoil Monster" on it and won second prize of $50. We had a barbecue going pretty much all day and had friends coming and going and my brother in law (the baby in my picture, her father) shot offsome fireworks that he picked up, roasted marshmallows for s'mores and hung out. How was your 4th? What did you do?
My favorite "official" brother is probably V. Buy my favorite character from the whole series is John Matthew. I can't wait for his book! Who's your fav?
I agree; I found it easy to put the book down and kind of had to push through the last 100 pages. I'm definitely Team Erik! Love that viking! What about you?
I don't remember the second book at all really... just something with Sookie in Dallas. I remember the third and fourth books fine, but the second escapes me.
I have been watching! I LOVE the show, so good! What do you think Mary Anne (is that her name?) is? I can't remember from the books... Also, how gross was it when Dr. Ludwig was digging her finger through Sookie's scratches!? I wanted to puke! lol
lol You're right, BDB is nothing like Twilight. The first adult vamp books I read after Twilight was the Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris. Also nothing like Twilight. Let's just say I was a tad surprised at first! lolIs your fav fiction or non? I think I've heard of Margaret George before. Did she write Helen of Troy?
