I am a senior, I like to read a lot but I lean very much towards sci//fi/-fantasy mostly though if i think i will like a book, i will read it. Mostly i get those books from the library, if it is one I really like and have read others by the author or in the series, then i will buy. i have 2 cats and i make cards, write short stories, books... more »

I WAS THINKING ABOUT YOU LAST NIGHT AND WAS PLANNING ON SENDING YOU A NOTE OF THANK YOU FOR THIS LAST POEM TODAY AND I GO TO MY E MAIL AND WHAT HAVE YOU SENT - BUT A BUNCH OF REALLY COOL PICTURES! THAT SITE IS LIKE A DRIVE BY TYPING - ONLY DRAWBACK IS ONE NEEDS TO CHECK THE POSTS EACH DAY OR YOU CAN GET OUT OF THE LOOP FAST.

    Hello Evelyn! I am ok. Now the flu reigns in Belarus! All are ill one after another. Kids have gotten two weeks more to autumn holidays. They are happy! Parents do not know what to do with them. How is situation with flu on your end? Hope you and all yours are OK. Thank you for your poem. I love it! Do you have the published books of your poems and stories? I would like to have them.

    My gosh, that was many years ago. I think that may have been the first Zane Grey book that I read. It led to reading a number of his books. I found them to be more enjoyable than Louis L'amour. I also visited his cabin prior to its burning down.

    Here the true autumn weather is. The deep fall. Yesterday it was snowing. I returned from business-trip to the white city. Night has gone and today all day the rain has been washing away the remains of this first whiteness.

    Hello Evelyn,

    I've just been to my Photoshop class - I'm trying to learn how to enhance and alter my digital photos - very interesting. Another of my hobbies! As I walked out of the centre, the sun was shining, the skies were blue and there was a carpet of golden leaves under my feet - absolutely wonderful!!

    Doesn't the weather have an enormous affect on our emotions? It felt so heartwarming to see the sun and sky and the leaves so beautiful!

    I live up near the Peak District, and it is just the sort of day to be out walking in the country and drinking in the autumn scenery...... However, the necessary jobs of housework and shopping need to be tackled!!

    You very kindly sent me your story entitled The Leaf Dragons' Legacy a few months ago.......I enjoyed it very much. So, if you have any more on your computer, I'd love to read them!

    I wonder if it would be better or easier for you to send them to my email rather than in a note......

    I can send it via a private message!

    What a shame you don't go into central London now......I can understand why though.......the bombings were scary back then weren't they? and ill health is such a bind.......it's sad you can't get out like you used to........

    I love the theatre, but don't go too much because of the expense really.....but there's nothing like the atmosphere in the theatre, is there?! We went to a local amateur production of Joseph recently and it was absolutely marvellous!

    What do you do to pass the time these days? Do you still garden....although it's not the right time of year is it?!!

    Hey Evelyn, how's things on the other side of the pond neighbour! I think you guys have been having the same poxy weather as us over here. I need a sun holiday. And I don't even like the sun, but I want it nontheless. LOL

    I have Gulity Pleasures but haven't read it. I also have the first book in the Fae series. I'm way behind on reading.

    What have you got your nose deep in at the moment... And i'm referring to books! ;)

    Glad you are a little better. West London? How lovely! Such a wonderful city! Very busy, isn't it.....but such a lot of history, and I love any type of history!

    I'm fine - looking for a job at the moment! I'm busy doing my family history. Most of it is in the Midlands and the North, but I do have one family who moved down to London about the 1830s......they lived in the Tower Hamlets area. I suppose it would be much different them to how it is today!!!

    Hello Evelyn, Sorry, I haven't been on for a while. Gosh are you ok now? Sorry to hear about your fall. Shakes you up doesn't it, quite apart from any physical injury. Hope things are ok now. Your poetry is lovely, you should write more! What part of London are you in? Does London inpsire you at all? I always think you can really feel the atmosphere in London! I love it!

    Now Canada is a place I would like to see.......but I never quite made it when I lived in the East.......NYC remains my favorite city since I fell in love with it my 12th summer as I drove down the West side Drive around midnight and stared with wonder at the sparkling lights of the city.....I was on my way with my parents to visit my grandfather in Penn.......I loved the time I spent in England and would like to visit there again.

    I have been changing my story alot, and it has become very different. I have a notebook and started plotting everything out.

    Have you read any of my writing in the 'In Middle Earth 2' section in the new LOTR group? I would read it if you want to see some good writing! lOl. I think that has been alot better than this stuff.

    you should also go to the Lord of the Rings Group (the new one not the old one, with the blue-ish picture of the LOTR cast). And read the In Middle Earth 2 section. I wrote quite a bit in there, and I think it's really good. But definately read those writings. =]

    Hi Evelyn. I've never read an Elmore Leonard book but I know he is pretty popular. How are you liking it? Right now I'm reading the newest Jeffrey Deaver book "Roadside Crosses". So far it's very good. And I always have an audio book going too so I am listening to "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. I did see the movie several months ago and I actually think I liked the movie better than the book. There's way too much detail in the book; I'm not an art historian so it's a bit over my head.
