I am happiest when I find a great book and can walk around in a daze after reading an amazing one. The library is my favorite place in the whole world and will gladly pay late fees just to support it.

Thanks for your top 2 -- we have so many of the same books on our shelves and interestingly enough, they are not all the "bestsellers". Even crazier is that I just went on a website called www.dailylit.com and am having Anna Karenina downloaded to me a little bit at a time. I have always wanted to read it and there it was on your to read shelf. I will definitely look into Du Maur (sp), I have not read anything by him/her. Happy Reading!!!

May nominees have been posted on the Good Reads Book Group! Make sure to stop by and vote by March 17th! Remember, everyone who votes gets a chance to be the next member to select nominees for the following month. Our April winner was "Soul Catcher" by Michael C. White. Discussion will begin on April first.

January was a very good month for me. End of December rolling into January i had started with quite a bad book (I am Charlotte Simmons) - i skimmed through at least two-thirds of this 750-odd pages book. But then early January proved good - The Devil Wears Prada, My Family and Other Animals, and now On Beauty. I laughed out loud reading MFaOA. OB is also extremely well written - I am loving every bit of it.

When I was a kid, I once lived in a town whose public library was in an old school house. They had a room that was not open to the public where they stored books that were donated and such...until they could get them sorted and on the shelves. This room was COVERED. They would let me go in there and look through them. Loved that room. Spent many an hour sitting on the floor just looking at books. Ah, paradise.

Love your statement about the library. Can't tell you how many late fees I have paid.
I also adore used book stores. My favorite types of books are those I find among the dusty shelves...the ones I've never heard of...and wouldn't normally grab.
I've sent you a friend request. Love to add you to my list.
