I am a book addict. I read so much, I decided I needed another passion too....so now I am taking Old-time music fiddle lessons and jamming with other students. I was an English major in college, because I couldn't bear the thought of not reading literature for four years!

hello michele- about this book, i loved it. Even when the events went back and force and were a little mixed up. Also i wished her relationship with her mother would turn better out. It was so good written, I was feeling for everyone in here.

I've wanted to read Brooks' new release because I enjoyed her last one so much, but I'm caught up in reading the Pulitzers and haven't gotten to it yet. Will do so very soon.

Have you had the time to finish "Later, at the bar"? I really did enjoy it even though I didn't have the advantage of relating to the cold winters as you had. I enjoyed the characters. They seemed like people I know, people I could spend time with, even though I don't frequent bars! Just very real people. I'll certainly read whatever she comes out with next.

Thanks for requesting my friendship. I am glad that we share book tastes! I too had trouble with Yiddish Policeman's Union. But I blamed my slow pace with being in China that month. Maybe it was a slow book and not a slow reader.

Do read Later, at the Bar. I'm anxious to hear your views on it.

It sounds like a book i would like to read. I like books with historical backgrounds, and the scenario is unfolding in Asia. Like now i am reading more a crime novel : The art of detection. L'hitra'ot ( see you later).

I read The Secret Book of Grazia Del Rossi a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed it. When I saw it on your shelf, I remembered that I had read it also, so have now added it to mine. I'm not altogether sure how to most effectively respond to a post, either,

    Michele:
I know what you mean about this website ~ it's addictive. I'm getting all kinds of ideas for my next reading selection. I'll have to live forever to read everything I have on my list! Have you read anything by Shifra Horn? I just finished reading "Four Mothers." It's a beautiful story. I wasn't fond of Michael Chabon's writing style, although I only read his book, "The Final Solution." "The People of the Book", by Geraldine Brooks in marvelous. It's historical fiction based on the Sarajaho Hagaddah. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the friendship request. I know what you mean about giving up books for a week. I couldn't do it either! LOL! Cameron's books are great guides, though.
