    Multumesc pt raspuns ... nu am reusit sa o gasesc in romaneste pe la librariile online pe care le stiu asa ca o sa ma duc la biblioteca sa o iau in engleza. Da, si mie imi place sa ma ascund printre rafturi la biblioteca ... si biblioteca municipala din Boston e si un momument arhitectonic in sine, e o adevarata placere sa ma duc. Toate cele bune!

    Buna! Tocmai am citit descrierea cartii "Music of a Life" de Andrei Makine si mi se pare foarte interesanta. Stii cumva titlul in romaneste, pentru ca as prefera sa o citesc in romaneste. Multumesc.
    Altfel, inca n-am ajuns sa citesc Mauriac si Canetti, am fost la biblioteca sa ma uit dupa ei si am tot dat peste alte carti :-)

    The Historian e un triler istoric legat de legenda lui Dracula. Povestea are la baza ideea ca Vlad Tepes ar fi reusit sa afle secretul nemuririi cu posibile consecinte nefaste pt prezent si se tese in jurul a trei generatii de istorici care incearca sa afle adevarul. Ce mi-a placut in mod special la cartea asta a fost ca e foarte dinamica - actiunea se muta dintr-un loc in altul prin Europa (incluzand desigur si Romania) si e foarte bine scrisa - naratiunea se leaga extraordinar de la o pagina la alta (esential pentru o carte de peste 700 de pagini cat are traducerea romaneasca). Cred ca merita citita desi daca ar fi sa aleg, prefer de departe triler-urile istorice ale lui Matthew Pearl (Clubul Dante, Umbra lui Poe).
    Merci pt detaliile despre Mauriac si Canetti,. Cred ca o sa-mi placa din ce imi spui, o sa ma uit la biblioteca publica sa va ce au.

    Buna. Mai bine zis sint autori care m-au facut curioasa... Francois Mauriac, de exemplu - n-am citit nimic de el si nici nu stiu ce gen de literatura scrie ... La fel si Elais Canetti. Daca poti sa-mi dai o idee despre cei 2 autori ar fi super si cu ce carti mi-ai recomanda sa incep din fiecare.
    In afara de asta Ibsen, Marguerite Duras, Kafka ... i-am citit de mult cand eram in liceu ... necesita un refreshing major. Oricum, mix-ul de carti de pe raft e super-interesant.
    Eu citesc mai ales literatura contemporana foarte recenta ca sa spun asa. Imi place foarte tare si fictiunea istorica si genul in care scrie John Grisham (nu stiu daca le pot numi literatura politista).
