Children’s Author, MJ Daley-Prado
Many years ago, my parents instilled in us a love for reading. They would take us to the library and bring us home a mound of books that we would then read nightly at bedtime. As we grew up this love for reading continued and we would still go to the library weekly.
I believe by my parents doing this is why I enjoy so much being creative today. I enjoy finding a nice cozy spot and covering up in a nice warm velour blanket especially on a rainy day while reading a good book. That is my idea of relaxing!) I like to read non-fiction mostly and of course, children’s books so I can keep up with what kids like. As an artist, I also enjoy seeing all the illustrations as well.
I am a published Author/Illustrator. My specialty is writing inspiring books for children that will help to teach them life lessons. I also just put the final changes on my first non-fiction adult story entitled Borrowed Time.
I have several children's books published now. They are--
The Super Heroes Save Christmas ISBN #1424191238,
Grandma, What Is Cancer? I SBN#9781435702042,
Baby Duck Gets A New Grandma ISBN#9781435713123
Buzz ISBN#9781435713529.
It’s Okay Just To Be Me! ISBN# 987-143230740
Find That Bunny ISBN#978-1-4357-3535-4
Writing and illustrating are my true passions. I have dedicated “Grandma What Is Cancer?” to my Mother and Sister. A significant amount of the proceeds will go to The Johns Hopkins Breast Center and to The Dream Foundation. This is my way for me to carry on their legacies’.
