I really like to read. My concentration is bad, so that it takes me a long time to finish a book, now. I might have ADD.

Thanks for the invite. I found a couple books on your shelf that I forgot I had read. How I could forget Colette...that is who my mother is named after. I look forward to exploring your shelf more.

we have 13 books in common -- I look forward to finding new treasures to read from your shelf! Maybe you would like The Solace of Leaving Early, by Haven Kimmel

Thank you for the invite! I enjoyed looking through your shelf.

I notice that Lord Jim is on your favorites. I’m trying to finish up Nostromo now… I can see that Conrad is a fine writer, but I have a hard time getting into his books. Perhaps it is partly because his books were originally serialized, so the reader had a lot of time to get to know the huge number of characters before the next installment of the novel appeared. Today, trying to read the novel all at once, I probably spend less time thinking about each section before continuing on…

There are a lot of books on your “Plans To Read” list that I liked. I love The Brothers Karamazov and Lolita particularly. Also, I’ll be interested to hear what you think of One Hundred Years of Solitude when you get to read it — I liked it but I’ve been told by people who read The House of Spirits that they felt the two books were similar in spirit, and they often seem to prefer Allende’s take on it.
