Hey!!! I know! I've been so neglectful! (both to the site and to reading for me in general...) Finally started making time for good books again...oh how I've missed them!!! Any new recs?? I've been so out of the loop!! How's the fam?? Steve was saying you guys were thinking of moving into this area...that would be so awesome. You have such a lovely family, it would be cool to have you guys close. We'd love getting together one night for dinner/cards/whatever...it's be so nice to see you both. ;) I know the holiday season's crazy, but maybe after? Caleb's great thanks! Almost a year old already and growing so fast!! I'm loving every second of it...he's absolutely amazing ;)
Write a note for Dedalus here Hi Rob, Sorry I could not get throught Bel Canto . I was waiting for something to happen until the near end and then I just gave up. In the mean time I read No Time for Goodbye. A stupid mystery paperback I bought at the airport. Imagine buying a book when I have so many on my bookshelp! also read Whispers of Truth (A baby boomers memoir) I bought it at the Collingswood fair. It was written by a girl I went to school with. And I read Still Waters a book you would not like (a girly book by Jennifer Lauck). See you soon. Love Mom
Greetings.Could I interest YOU in reviewing my latest book on the names of Popes: http://www.amazon.com/Popes-Their-Names-Anura-Guruge/dp/1434384403/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1217881137&sr=1-1It is not as boring as it sounds. Plus it is short. 160 pages. I picked you because I noticed that you do read non-fiction.If you are game let me know how I can get a copy of the book to you. Many thanks. All the best.Anu
I do love finding books through this...I always come to your shelf when I'm at a loss for what to pick up next...hehe. Thank you for telling me about the book sale next weekend...Steve and I will definately be going...we love a good booksale! And anytime you guys want a night out, we're definately in. I don't think we have any plans for the next few weeks, so if you want to look at your calendar and see when you guys are available that would be awesome! We'd love to see you both. You're always welcome to come here or we could go out...anything would be lovely. Hope you're having a great summer! ;)
Hey! So have you read The Way of the Pilgrim? I've always wanted to...I don't know why I've never looked it up. I thought that was so cool when I saw that you added it.
hi rob, it is addicting. i was up until 11.00pm last night. way past my bed time.
I know, I've been slacking! In the summer I am going to post them.
Hey Rob! So glad to hear that you enjoyed Water for Elephants! How adorable is Rosie? I think my favorite part was with the lemonade...I could not stop laughing. Such a beautiful story. I'm excited to pick your brains about it, as well as the Follett books. ;) How has everything been with you?
PS - I think I have your copy of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. I just found it in a box the other day. Sorry about that! I'll bring it with me next time I see you. Next Saturday, yeah?
Hey Rob! :) Thanks, we're really excited...Not a big fan of "The Hobbit." Thought it was a little slow. How was your trip?
Thanks for the loan!! It was wonderful (though I think the first one was my favorite), I can't wait for our next book group we can discuss them both!!
Ooh...I would love to borrow the that! Thank you so much. ;) I saw that you added Into Thin Air to books you want to read...that was a great story...so interesting. If you don't have it already I'd be happy to loan it to you.
Hey Rob! Things are going great thanks...just finished One Hundred Years of Solitude (which came dangerously close to spoiling my love of reading). I'm about 1/4 of the way through Pillars of the Earth now (awesome recommendation btw) and I'm really loving it. I'm glad that it's so long b/c it won't end too quickly. ;) How about you? Any recommendations for post-Pillars of the Earth?
I think the rec for that book from you! :) I'd love to borrow it. Thanks.
Hey friend! Saw your name on McCourt's page (glad to see that at least one other teacher rated him as only one star...though I guess that's cheating b/c I remember that you hated him too...haha). Anyway, just wanted to say hi!- Em
Hey Rob,Embarassed to admit, I did not know who Dedalus was. :( Guess a need to read Portrait of an Artist... Glad you found the site and it looks like you're enjoying it! It's great. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and I'll see you tomorrow, probably sometime in the evening.Lynn
