oh, btw. I was writing about your comment on The Time Traveler's Wife.
I found this book so boring. As soon as I thought the plot was about to get better, there he goes running around a city naked. The movie was WORSE!
Welcome to 1001 books. You can keep track of the books you have read from the book, 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die here and join in the discussions on the books we are reading for the month (from the book) or you can argue the merits of the list as some enjoy doing. We hope you will want to join in our discussions. The current books are at the top of the list for that month. If there is any way I or Mossflower can answer your questions about the group or about Shelfari, let us know.If you don’t own the book the list can be found http://www.listology.com/content_show.cfm?content_id=22845. I just finished reading your comments on The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and have to say that 'No' you are not the only person who didn't like it!
Your review of Turn of the Screw amused me to no end.
Dear Drew: You're up late. I have no chocie. I'm on my overnight shift. I'm from Haverhill, used to live in Boston until we lost rent control. I am also an author. My debut novel (written largely on these overnights) was published in April. I'm wondering if you'd have an interest in it. The story revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother's death in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother's death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college in Boston. Now an archaeologist, she is recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to know who or what is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As a loyal Catholic, she is scared that what she finds may have devastating consequences for her faith. There is an awesome YouTube book trailer well worth watching to give you an idea of the power of the book. If you get the chance, I hope you'll take the time to watch it and let me know your feelings. Thanks. Peter
Hey, Drew. How booksmart u look in that pix... Seems u like this site! Glad about it. can't keep up with your numbers even though many books are sitting in my bookcase awaiting their turn. Say hi to Minna for me, please.Achilles
Well, think about it. How many books have ever been published? It has to be, like, thirty. At least. Maybe thirty-five.
Why is the Razor's Edge the only book we both have on our pages?
