    rasha t,
I must apologize for not responding earlier. I don't think to check my messages on Shelfari and need to get into the habit. But I will certainly enjoy keeping up with your latest reads because it certainly does look like we have very similar reading tastes.

My very favorite authors are Susan Elizabeth Philllips, Lisa Kleypas, Linda Howard, Rachel Gibson, Judith Ivory (Judy Cuevas), Penelope Williamson, and Judith McNaught. I have recently discovered Laura Lee Guhrke and really enjoy her as well.
My favorites from these authors - oh, there are so many! But if you haven't read Susan Elizabeth Phillips, I strongly encourage you to do so! My favorites by SEP (so many) It Had To By You, Nobody's Baby But Mine, Dream a Little Dream, Kiss and Angel - to start with.
Linda Howard - Death Angel and To Die For are my very favorites although I love many including the MacKenzie series, After the Night, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. I'm not much a big fan of romantic suspense so I tend toward her books that have more romance than suspense. Oh, and I have read Dream Man about six times.
Lisa Kleypas - I love Sugar Daddy, Blue-Eyed Devil, and Smooth Talking Stranger. Once again - there are so many of her books I love but my favorite historicals include Suddenly You, Then Came You, Lady Sophia's Lover, Devil in Winter, and Dreaming of You.
Rachel Gibson - Of her 13 books, 9 are A grades for me. See Jane Score, Not Another Bad Date, True Confessions.
Judith Ivory - Sleeping Beauty, Untie My Heart
Penelope Williamson (her older titles) - Keeper of the Dream, The Passions of Emma and Once in a Blue Moon.
Judith McNaught - Same as you! Very fav - Almost Heaven
Laura Guhrke - His Every Kiss and The Marriage Bed

Hope we can stay in touch. Once again, I am so sorry I missed your message! What are some of your romance favorites of late?

    Hello Rasha!

Hoping everything is working out well for you. I haven't been very active online lately because of work but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Last night, I went out with my Indian and Australian co-workers and we ate dinner and had some fun. It was my only time to unwind.

I'm so behind with my reading. I don't even know if I can complete my plans of reading 50 or more books this year. But I'll try. I plan on starting and finishing one or two books this weekend. I hope I can do that!

My father is leaving tomorrow to travel and work abroad. I'm a bit sad because I'll miss him so much.

    Have a nice day Rasha!

Hi Rasha - Lisa Kleypas Texas series has become one of my favorite series of books. Loved all three, but my favorite one probably is Blue-Eyed Devil. I just loved Hardy! I haven't read very many of Kleypas historicals, that is on my list to read for this year.

You mentioned that you saw lots of LKH on my shelf. Her Anita Blake and Merry Gentry books are one of my favorite series books out there. They can be kind of dark and complicated, but I have just got into all of the characters and love both series of books so much. The first book in the Anita Blake series is Guilty Pleasures. It has vampires, Zombies, shape-shifters you name it, it has it.

Elizabeth Hoyt right now is one of my favorite historical writers. Next on my list from her will be the Raven Prince.

I love Brenda Joyce's old historicals from the 80's and early 90's. My favorite is The Game. She also wrote a good romance/suspense called the Deadly series. I think the first one in that series is called Deadly Love.

On the JR Ward BDB books, I liked the first book the least out of all of them, but they do get really good after the first one. Now when a new book comes out in this series, I buy it on the release day and start reading it right away. LOVE THEM!

Always let me know if you come across something really good, I'm up for suggestions. (historical romance is probably my first true love in books) Chat with you soon, J

    Rasha,

It's been awhile. :) Thanks! I know what you mean! :) Now I understand why people who're working would rather stay at school than work. Every week is so stressful. When I get home, all I want to do is just go to bed and sleep. But I'm slowly adjusting. So I'm hoping my life would go back to what I call normal. Hahaha.

How have you been doing? How's your family?

I know what you mean. That's the same feeling I had with Hardy after Sugar Daddy. But then when I started reading Blue-Eyed Devil, I reminded myself that SD was told from Liberty's perspective. So I can't really know the true Hardy Cates just from her point of view.

Anyway, have you read any good books lately? If you have, please share them with me! :) I'm dying to read a good romance. I think that it's just what I need after a long and stressful week.

    Have a nice day!

Hi Rasha! Its been a long time since I have checked my Shelfari and I noticed that you messaged me and I wanted to respond even though its been so long. I noticed that we have similar interests in our books. I love love love Judith McNaught ( except she hasnt been writing new books like she use to:( ) I stayed up all night reading some of her books, she really was my intro into romance novels 10 years ago. My faves are Paradise, Something Wonderful, and Whitney My Love- which I noticed you have yet to read, you need to read it asap its very fairy tale like.

I grew up reading the from the four J's as I called them, and I was almost never dissapointed with their books and I would highly recommend them (and looks like you have read from most of them): Johanna Lindsay, Judith McNaught, Jo Goodman, and Julie Garwood.
I also really like Sandra Brown and Linda Howard have you read any books for Catherine Coulter I fell like she is similar to them and you would really like some of her contemps.
My tastes in romance novels have changed a bit though and I find myself reading less and less hist. and contemp. and more into the paranormals; You did not like them? I noticed you didnt like the vampire ones, I noticed you tried Dark Lover and did not like it all I have to say about that is Keep Reading the series, because the books gt so much better trust me a lot of my friends said the same thing but the first book is really just an intro. Anyway Instead of a paranormal I would actually recoomed a Fantasy Romance that I recently read that has become my favorite book and series I have ever read!!! The first book is Lord Of the Fading Lands by CL. Wilson. I highly recommend it!!! I have read so many books and this book it just touched my heart so much I want everyone to read it, its a beautiful epic fairytale romance.
Whew! I wrote a lot but its to talk to someone with similar interests. To answer your question I am middle eastern(Could you tell from my name:) ) I am half Iraqi and half German. I live in San Diego where there is a small community Chaldeans (Catholic Iraqi people) living here as well. What about you? Do you listen to Arabic Music as well I just love some of the Egyptian singers Amr Diab may fave. By the way my best friends name is also Rasha and you just dont hear that name often its cool.
    Talk to you later!
    Have a nice day!

    Hello Rasha!

It's been a long time. ♥ I'm doing okay. :) I just graduated last Friday! Yay! I'm super happy about it. All those years of hard-work all paid off when I received my diploama and medal. I love Almost Heaven. It was a very worderful book. It sort of reminded me of Paradise in some ways but still, nothing can compare to it. You know how much I love Sugar Daddy as I've been raving about it to you ever since. I finished Blue-Eyed Devil and love it just as much. Sometimes, I think even more.♥ I don't know why. BED is actually the least favorite of some LK contemporary readers because of what Hardy did in SD but I don't know, I really love that book. I have yet to read Smooth-Talking Stranger but I already have a copy.

Have I told you that I already started working? I'm so busy with work. And currently, we're doing training even during the weekends at the comfort of our very own homes so I don't have that much time for reading. I haven't been reading books lately but my list of must read books is still growing.

Have a nice day Rasha! :) Have a wonderful weekend. Send my regards to your family. :)

Hello Rasha! How have you been? It's been a long time since I've talked to you. Anyway, I'm glad you liked Lord of Scoundrels. I have that book too but haven't read it. And as you said, that it reminded you so much of Dreaming of You, then I'm sure I'm going to like it because you know how much I love that book. :) ♥

I finished reading Almost Heaven by Judith McNaught and I'm done with Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas. I love both books.♥ And I'm excited to read more. I need to restart reading The Time Traveler's Wife because my reading was cut-off because I had stuffs to do at school. I'm done with my thesis. Thank God. ♥ Can't wait to graduate on the 24th.

Oh, I also had a series of interviews and exams for a company I was applying for two weeks ago and last week, they called me up and said I'll gonna start working for them this Monday, April 13th. I'm so excited. :) I got hired as an Associate at Deutsche Bank. I can't wait to start working.

Have a nice day Rasha! ♥

Hi Rasha! I'm sorry but I don't read via ebook. I cannot afford the device even though I would love it. However, I think I do prefer the paperback/hardback because I am kind of old fashioned. I rarely listen to books on tape either.

    Hello Rasha!

Ooops... Sorry! My bad. I didn't mean to say that Laird of the Mist was a paranormal. ^_^ I know it's historical. I was meaning to say that I'm not really a big fan of paranormal in general. I've heard so many good reviews about Unlawful Contact. I'm going to look for it on my next bookstore trip. I have not yet finish The Time Traveler's Wife. I'm currently listening to Lisa Kleypas' audio book of Blue-Eyed Devil. So far so good. I only started it this morning and I'm already at Chapter 2. ♥
