josee... where are you missing?
thanks.. was just going thru anjum i's shelf (dont know her) found so many books that i have read but had forgotten all about them... so am updating my shelf...
well, this is a very recent picture. our staff day was on 15th july and our sales team rocked to 'we didn't start the fire' billy joel and hence we all wore red..
hi josee, tried to put pen on paper to explain the house... but i guess it exists only in the mind and heart... and not on the drawing board.. hence could not explain.. the sharat chandra epitome is still on and in the meanwhile as fillers am reading some stupid teen age stuff... but enjoying it.take care and love to fret...
well, anil has spoken enough number of times (typically sunday morning breakfast time over coffee) about updating his site / paintings... however it has not materialised.. i guess he is finding a challenge taking pictures of his paintings.. will check with him, he did do some web stuff.. will keep you posted.. anil is an accountant by profession and works for an italian multinational, india operations are based in goa.my music is more of what anil and jatan hear in the last say 14 years. my favourite singer is jose feliciano.. talking about medieval church music, i do like the gregorian chants and i play the tracks very often.i remember when our son went for his first grade admission to school and the principal asked him to sing / recite a poetry, he sang 'we dont need no education' we were so embarrassed, wanted to hide under the table.colours.. my favourite is blue and various shades of blue.. i have this house in mind.. when i get around building it i will call it 'no blues'how is fret?
also, wish rob all the best for this exhibition. are his paintings available to view on any blog site? and what are your favourite colours? am i asking too many questions?
what kind of music do you enjoy the most? what do you listen to? i am still stuck in the 70s...
hey ho so spooky... anil (my husband) too is very active with the local art club. though an accountant by profession, he enjoys doing oils on canvas (but i like his watercolours more) and has had the good fortune of having his painting scattered all over the world (mostly displayed by friends)....
you are going to be in scotland for a music festival... sounds interesting.. what music? do you do something with music?
hi josee, had never heard about saramago (i mean apart from he being a noble laureate). we do speak fair amount of portuguese specially my inl-aws. my son has portuguese as a second language in school. did some reading on saramago. its sad that as long as saramago lived in portugal, his writing was never encouraged, till he moved to spain. his anti christ thoughts were not at all welcomed in portugal and vatican also cursed him. as my profile note says 'i look for reading material from the inquisitors list'. found saramago there...bengali mortification is stalled for the time being. the south asian film festival is on. trying to catch as many movies as possible. our hotel is the festival hotel. the festival gets over on the 30th, post which will start the bengali thingy again. i think i will take a while to finish the collection. may be by december.
typo error - buy....
hi josee, have come across a writer called saramago. amazing,..... dying to bye his two books : blindnessthe gospel according to jesus

Hey Josee! How are things? I have been wandering around a bit and relocating. I see people I know here have been a little quiet. I recently read Lord Jim - in the Himalayas :-) Felt better than reading it by the sea.
you are talking about inviting people once in a way!! our door is always open for one and all.. we just need an excuse to invite people over for dinner or stay... see the excuse to call you over is to teach you to play 'library library' :-) and the excuse to invite fret is to introduce our local varieties of fish :-))
i was fortunate enough to know my grandparents. my maternal grandmother is still living... rather rocking.. ours is a very closely knit family.. more like a mafia :-) one of the great grand kids gets into mischief and all over the countryside everyone knows about it.. right from srilanka to brazil to portugal to romania to US of A... name it... its not funny..
sorry 6 am...
my dad has retired but my mom is still the general :-) when she visits us, i am on my toes, trust me.. scrubbing away the bathroom and kitchen tiles :-)) well my dad was in the airforce, telecommunication background.. has fought two wars. yes i am still very disciplined.. as in back straight.. no foul language.. no eating between the meals.. speak only when spoken to.. can not be in bed after 6 pm.. shower and change still in 3 minutes flat whether i am going to work or for a wedding.. i guess old habits die hard.. my grandmother (dad's mom) taught me to cook. she was a great cook. i started cooking entire meals for the family since i was like 17!! and i dad loves to cook too. dad is retired now but still beats me in badminton and swimming :-(
well my mom is something else all together.. she has never cooked in her life!! she only supervised... my dad is a retired airforce officer and she had a battalion dancing to her tunes... she never lets us forget of our military background and childhood..
hey thanks for your faith in me.. mom is disgusted, did the long distance gyan 'how could you forget your mothertongue' etc
hi josee, yes the renovated site is still not too comfortable. struggling with the collection of stories / essays / plays / novels in my native language.. eye balls are rattling and teeth are gnawing my fingers (only stubs left). can not manage more than 2 pages a day. its like reading shakespeare in original by a person whose first language is not english. the funny thing is i have to read it aloud to understand it. wish me luck. and love to fret.
