A very emotional and touching story. A story of betrayer and lost hopes. l first read of Sarafina in Twillight Hunger, the first in the series l read. l am glad she is finally rewarded with a soul mate. l am not happy Stilles cannot be categorically declared dead and he is now dangerous than ever but l am glad that Amber Lily is not a vampire. Being trapped in the body of a baby would have been terrible. All in all, another novel in the series that l have come to love so much and enjoy reading.

l have always loved books on medieval Scotland and Highlanders but this one, paranormal + romance, is just fantastic. Nice storyline, flow; she carries the reader along. Wouldn't have put it down till l finished it if it wasn't impossible. l wish though that l know what happened to Bella and the black maclean back in his time. l already know he didn't go after Ishbel but not knowing the fate of the maclean with the English sweeping off rebels and what kind of life Bella lived is almost unbearable. Still, l am looking forward to acquiring the next book. l guess many many more would come from the Immortal Warrior series considering the fiosaiche has many favourites she is yet to awaken.

A very well written book from the beginning to the end. There was no moment of boredom. Very sensual, erotic and interesting. Good story line. However, Ms Mason did not do her research well. Her perception of Islamic tenets as they relate to women (in this book) is false. l think she couldn't draw a line between the culture of the people and their religion. Allah is the Arabic word for God but l think she didn't research this as well or how can she explain statements like Allah's grave, Allah's birthplace and Allah's beard. Perhaps Ms Mason will like to edit this book.

l have never been able to tolerate crime novels much less in romance and paranormal books. l almost dropped it when l realised what l bought but l have a challenge to meet and decided to endure it but enjoy it l did. She blended Arthur Pendragon, vampires, fairies and shifters so admirably and the romance aspect is very good too. l spent all my spare time on the book and in the end, wish l have the others in the series. Perhaps, this has changed my view of crime-mixed-with-romance books ......... we shall see.

l like the Moonlight part. It is a sad tale. No one should have to be born to such fate as Nevarre's and his father and others before him. Unfortunately, he lost Katalnia to her fear and revulsion though it was obvious in the end that she always loved him. But l am glad that he was a vampire with a conscience and so didn't go 'bad' taking only what he needs for sustenance and not enjoying to hunt for the fun of it. It made me happy that it ended well, that he eventually found someone to bring light in to his otherwise dark existence. It is a story that really touched my heart.

  • Dark Demon (The Carpathians (Dark) Series, Book 13)
    • Rated 4 stars

My second carpathian book by Feehan and l enjoyed this even more than Dark Gold. It is adventurous, unpredictable and an amazing twist in the turn of events in what Natalya had believed about carpathians for a long while. A very brave but stubborn woman, Virkirnoff is my hero and l like my first introduction to the Prince. l love this. l hope the others are even better or as good.

  • Dark Gold (The Carpathians (Dark) Series, Book 3)
    • Rated 4 stars

It is my second Christian Feehan book after Dangerous Tides and my first meeting with the Carpathians. l was really scared of reading about vampires having watched a film on vampires in my teenage years and ended up with nightmares and a healthy fear of the dark but l like the concept of who a carpathian is and l like the book. l do not like the idea of having to live on blood but l do like the idea of having healing abilities, communicating telepathically, etc. A nice book and am l going to try to read all the others.
