Pam T~

Mom. Wife. Student of the Universe.

My current reading is kid and history intense. To that end I write reviews for Shelfari (of course), LibraryThing, and Amazon (where I'm in the 200's somewhere)

Oh, yes, and these two special websites.

Pam, have you ever read the story of Mary Jemison, written in 1823 by James Seaver? She was captured by the Seneca's at age 12, and spent the rest of her life with them. Not a great BOOK---see my review---but interesting just for the basics of her life, and what the author does describe in the way of their religion, rituals, culture at that time. (Lois Lenski's "Indian Captive" is also based on the Mary Jemison story.)

My books are easy to track down. Amazon.com is the easiest.

I didn't realize that you write reviews. Would you write one for "There's Something About Cave Creek"? If so, let me know where to send it.

    Thanks.

    Dear Pam,
You sound like a fun person to be around. Liked your message. Since you are interested in history I wonder if you would like recent history. It's "There's Something About Cave Creek (It's The People). I wrote about the characters of a small town in Arizona. I actually interviewed them in the 1970s, and I thought they weren't
going to be around much longer. They were cowboys, prospectors, bar owners, sheriffs, strong women, a defender of the desert. I was interested in their lifestyles and personalities. You can get it at lulu.com, amazon.com or your favorite bookstore (they'll have to order it from their distributor).

Hey, so almost a neighbor. I saw Glory Road by Heinlein on your list, my favorite Heilein. Also a group of us were reading the collected short stories of Hemingway in the Hemingway group. I see you also have that book.
