Hello there, I really find pleasure in reading books. It makes me feel fulfilled & inspired. Happy reading to all! Cheers!!

That's the thing about a great book: Every time you read it, its different, because you're different. You've changed since the last time you picked it up; things have happened to you"-- Jessica Zafra

Hello, Ressy. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view, a little controversial at times, but you will see him as never before. It’s a story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. Have you ever wondered what is was like to live in those times? What part did women play in his ministry? Was he the first feminist? Were the miracles real? Why did Judas betray the Master? How does the gospel of Jesus compare to the gospel according to Peter and Paul? This is a “must read” for those on a true spiritual quest. You can read reviews at Amazon.com. I’m including a link to copy and paste. Let me know what you think.

    Hey ressy:

A very pretty name, for a very pretty lady! But may I teach you something? The name Jazz, along with it's spelling....is in fact a missnomer. F.F.I. The true way to spell JASS, and or Jazz, is the way that I spell my name. JASS. It is derived by from
the scent Jasmine. It is a known fact that, the creators of this lovly music called

JASS, gave the music it's name simply because it was said: That the music, was a sweet as the scent: Consequently entitling it...."JASS!" The name was indeed changed, by a white trumoeter who was a member of the group: "The Original Dixie Land Band. It was he who came up with the idea of changing the name from

JASS to JAZZ....an organization I founded, "SAVING The CLASSICS Inc" is at the plesent, solictating those who are concerned to; join us in our quest to have the original name returned!

Yes its a fictional work but not a novel. It is in genre of self development help books. Highly recommended if you like these types. It is written very catchily. The author captures our interest from page one and keeps it engaged by adding small anecdotes, incidents and events that will help reader learn new self development and improvement techniques. My recommendation go grab it ASAP !

thanks Ressy for your inputs. I guess I have read Dan Brown's Angels & Demons apart from Da Vinci. You know this is good to have friends remind you of what books you have read. Sidney Sheldon is also one of whom I read lot many (now cant even recall). Yes I want to read A Thousand Splendid Suns (its v much on my goal list). Dan Brown's novels I like for immense variety of topical knowledge he puts in them, but I dont really enjoy when he gets to regular (like lot of description of plot or just filling up pages). Good you reminded of "A thousand .... "

Sorry it took me so long to reply- I have this awful habit of vanishing occassionally without any warning. *grins sheepishly*

Sounds interesting. Probably not my type of book, but I might enjoy it. What books are your favorites then? Are you a Twilight fan?

I see you've read "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings"... did you like it? The name catches my eye, but I don't know if I'd like it or not. So what did you think of it?

Yes, most of the books I've put in Shelfari so far are sci-fi and fantasy. There's more to come that will "balance" it out some. About the only genre's I don't read are romance and westerns. I think you will enjoy Harry Potter and Inheritance. Both are very good "lite" reading. Paolini gets beat up a lot, but his books aren't as bad as some say. Happy Reading

I love to read, so it always pains me to suggest not reading a book. But this is one of those rare occasions ! You've got so many in the pipeline, I would put it on hold for now. Are you really reading 4 books now ? Multi-tasking....wish I could do that. It's just one at a time for me.

Noticed you are planning to read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell.....I read it a couple of years ago, so a word of advice - Read at your own risk. Personally, I thought it was a waste of time. Now you've been warned
