Crystal D

I have loved books even before I could read. I like a story with substance. Good examples of my favorite type of book are The Vineyard by Barbara Delinsky and Welcome To the World, Baby Girl by Fannie Flagg. Another example is No Greater Love and Granny Dan by Danielle Steele.

In addition to reading, I am also a writer, having had...more »

Crystal in case you missed the Charlie Gibson interview with Sara Palin, she did not know what the Bush Doctrine was, he asked her three times before explaining in simple terms! Hope you have a great weekend.

Peaches are the one thing we have in abundance around here! If you want the recipe for sausage and peppers, let me know.

Some days are too much. Today I am doing okay. I picked up two meals at the farmer's market - I am making sausage and peppers sunday and some bread today maybe if I do not need to crash - yesterday I pretty much woke up, took a shower, got dressed and fell asleep. I am not sleeping well at the moment at night, but I can during the day. I am like a vampire or something sleeping all day. I found a good deal of peace today. I love the farmer's market - people that work the land are such an interesting group. They have a special place in my heart. I paid $2 a pound for 9 peaches that are glorious. Talk about knowing God put some thought into it - there is nothing as sweet as a Missouri peach.

It's Christian Slater. He's been in the movie A Bed Of Roses with Mary Stuart Masterson. It's the bomb! And he's going to be in a new show on NBC called My Own Worst Enemy. I think he's hott, besides Bon Jovi.

Please do not hesitate to talk to me. I happen to not be used to talking to other women. For some reason, it just has not worked out for me. I know it sounds silly, but I am just not "normal" to others. To me, your path sounds so much harder than mine. Maybe it is just what we are given to deal with in life. Mine seems so silly. You are a strong person, I can tell.

    Crystal-
It sounds like you have seen both fairly close up. I am really loving that group as well. I still think I scare the hell out of people a lot of the time since I am quite open with people. I figure why lie or pretend? Thank you for not turning your back on me or pulling the covers over you head and hoping I would disappear. I have had so many people do that. It is nice to know there are people like you out there. The same goes for you. The whole Neurological issues stuff just sucks.

    Crystal,
I just wanted to respond to something you said on Women Speak. I believe that God allows things to happen to us so that we can minister to other people. I can't tell you how many people I have come across in the last few years that have helped me or me them because of what I've been through. Please don't hesitate to message me if you need to talk - I'm a mother of three grown girls and a granny so I've got a good ear! Hugs, Andi
