It's good to hear from you! I bet your daughter was surprised by your trip. Other than meeting Brooke (Bac), I've only talked to a few people on the phone. That's pretty weird, too. We all have odd accents. Of course, I don't. Mine's perfect. LOLI haven't read Nightkeepers yet. I was waiting for your verdict. I'm currently reading James Patterson's The Last Days of Daniel X...and it isn't very exciting. The writing is too simple, almost immature. The narrator is supposed to be 15, so maybe that's part of it. School started last Thursday, the 14th. It's ok so far. I seem to have a really good bunch this time. Or rather, I have several good bunches. I'm ready for the Lex to be back up. I miss everyone. I forget about the Dex, but I don't wanna be one of those people who only visit because the other is down. Hahahaha. I'm such a goob. Keep in touch!!xoxo, GNE
I'm wondering why a certain pop-up book hasn't appeared on your shelf yet! haha! It was fabulous to see you last week... I just wish it didn't have to end so soon!
Hey Simp! Have you read the Nightkeeper series yet? I'm excited to hear about it. How are you? I heard you girls had a blast on the trip last week. Sounds very cool. I hope everything is going well! TTYL.
Thank you for the note. I have missed you. I'm glad you are doing well. I finished Phury's book yesterday, and now I don't know if I can handle the wait til Book 7. I'll have to check out Nightkeepers. No one has steered me wrong yet in a book recommendation. I didn't enjoy the Gemma Doyle series so much, but I didn't hate it. I want to hug the Lex Chat book club members who recommended Midnight Breed. Wowza. Spoon recm'd Psy/Changeling series, and I will love her forever. Have you read it?I haven't really ever visited the Mom's site. I'm not a mom, and am therefore offended that I'm excluded from a site based on my lack of producing offspring. I'm just kidding. Let me know what you think about Memoir, and I'll check it out, too. Right now, I'm in the middle of The Truth about Forever by Sarah Dessen. I really like it. It's my first Dessen. Keep in touch!!
I saw that you posted _Elsewhere_, and it looked intriguing. After reading more about it, I'm definitely checking it out. Of course, I get here and I see that you have _Undead and Unwed_ on your shelf. I love the Undead series. However, the "baking" scenes are extremely tame after BDB, MB, and P/C. I hope all is well for you. I hadn't heard from you in a long long while.
I will totally check the Sookie books out. I didn't know they were going to make it a HBO series!I haven't read Honey, Baby, Sweethearts yet. It's on my "plan to read" shelf.
Is Sookie books worth picking up? I didn't like Nature of Jade. I just couldn't get into the book, but maybe you'll like it.
Thanks for the heads up! Jeaniene's books are fantastic, and she's hilarious. :D Frostfans.com is the site that I help moderate, and since it is her official fansite, she posts there, too...but the Charlaine Harris forum sounds like fun, too (since I adore her as well!)Thanks!
I only just stocked my bookshelf today! And there's LOADS more to go, but I'm ready for bed now. :)
How are you doing in Dead As A Doornail ?!?!? I am loving it! I knew I would. I am about 3/4 into it, I hate being away during my "real life" hours. Ya know, it's been a full moon.. ; ) I can't help thinking about our were and shape shifter friends... However, I have been waking feeling slightly disoriented, thanks to all the "dreams" .. HeeHeeHeeee
I love that you are rereading Rebecca. I just read it again several months ago, and I still love it. It is delicately exciting and mysterious. It's just a little rough getting through the beginning... and then, enjoy! This is an all-time fave of mine. Classic.
Oh yes. Love that part! I am looooving even more yuum yuuum parts in this. Who woulda thought I 'd be smitten for Eric?!? But Eric = Scrummmmy ! I have missed everyone too!!! I need a vacation, so I can read, ALL day and night.. and some caffeine thrown into the mix, we've got ourselves a delicious day!!! We should treat ourselves for a hidden getaway at The Hilton. All that will be in tow, SOOKIE ! It's so much fun having more to read in Sookie~ville! I love it! HugsHugs!!

Hi Zsimp ! I ripped through Club Dead, and loved this one! I am now on Dead To The World. I'm lost in the world of SOOKIE! Love her!!
Hi Simplicity! I finished QofE yesterday, and I am eager to discuss. Next week, right? If everyone can get with the program and get it read...Now, back to Sookie!
Hi, Simplicity! Thanks for the lovely welcome! I'm having so much fun catching up with all you fantastically cool ladies over here and peeking through all of your shelves. YAY! So many great books, so little time . . . :-)
Hi Zsimp! So NICE seeing you !!
I just sent you an e-mail with my e-mail addresses so that you have them!
I agree The Book Thief could be a little hard to get into, but I really enjoyed it. It would be an excellent book for discussion. There are a lot of issues about humanity that make for good discussion. And the storyteller is "Death," telling the story from a girl's perspective, so it's not all knowing. Good pick, I'd say.
I read some of the reviews of "The Book Thief" and I'm not sure what I think. The reviews didn't make me want to read it. I'd be willing to try. But, maybe you should put this out to the group. If this book isn't embraced, I'm still interested in reading Rebecca.
