A sista's Love is a book of urban realist poetry, it's a testimony of the things I have experienced that we all could relate too.

I was inspired to do this book after working with women and womens issues for so long and listening and sharing life stories with all of the women who have allowed me to come into their lives and offer them vital health information and the facts on HIV Prevention. I conduct groups that give women skills,the knowledge and the opportunity to make better life decisions. This book for me is a testimony, it's filled with all my pain and trials but it's also laced with my joys and love.

Alot of the women that I've shared with found it hard to believe that I had lived a life as they presently do, and have fought alot of the same battles that just killed my self esteem and my self love and value and that I've over come the things they are trying too. This is my message and my testimony to them. At times the language and the pictures that are painted by my words are a little rough, and the pain seems to seeps through the pages.Thats because I've been scratched and cut more times than I would like to remember, but now I shine as bright as any diamond known to man, and I want my sistas to know that this can happen for all of them. We have the power to become what ever it is we desire. Don't let anyone steal your power.
