I could add a few myself. Beware, tree huggers. We are planning to pollute the environment.
Holly, I was considering adding Fancy Pants to my shelf, but there didn't seem to be any sedate cover selections, lol. And I even double-checked to make sure i had the right author.:/
I also would be curious as to your thoughts on this great piece of literature. :) Friend, Roman, countrywoman-I lend you my ear. I thought we were going to have a grand argument but I seem to be the only one stating my opinions. (she gently chides...)
Alright, then, here goes. Well, I think the chances of anybody as warped as this doozy of a character seemed to be going from a completely uncommunicative state to a reasonably normal state that quickly are relatively nonexistant. And the chances of somebody that messed up acquiring a heroine-like girlfriend are also pretty slim. Plus, if he was really that bright, why didn't he catch on eventually that his control-freak brother really couldn't do anything to him? That did seem a little dopey. I know, I know, if someone threatened to set off the bomb they planted inside my head if I talked to anyone, I would probably not be taking any chances. I'm still amazed at their persistence in dragging him everywhere with them, even though he never contributed a thing but his presence. How creepy would that be. I don't believe that would be the person I would take my math homework questions to. :)
Well...you know I can never hold my own in an argument with you, jk:) Not to promise there will be any thoughts of depth forthcoming, but sure, feel free. Just as long as you don't overwhelm the great pea-sized brain. ;)
Hmmm...I personally thought the whole plot was a tad on the unrealistic side, although, as I mentioned in my review, it was quite fascinating. I could hardly put it down, but once I finished it, it was such a let down feeling. No satisfaction gained. I tend to rate books on their re-readable possibilities, and this one probably wouldn't qualify. Plus, its selling point is the fact that it plays on your emotions rather than being read for the simple fact that it is well written. Now...after bluntly criticizing your book of choice, what can I say to even the score? (I shall contradict myself.) The thing I enjoyed the most about it was the way the author wrote it just as though she was thinking out loud. It was fresh. As I said, I am still unsure of my true opinion. So, if you can make heads or tails of it now, cheers:)
So, Holly...where's Fancy Pants? (cough cough) I'd like to borrow that one sometime. :0
once again struck by the refreshing? randomness of your reading material:)
