“Review:"Mockingjay" is the final book of the Hunger Games trilogy. I enjoyed this book because I feel as though Suzanne Collins put a lot more emphasis on the action side of the story. There was a lot more suspenseful and exciting parts in "Mockingjay" compared to "Catching Fire" and "The Hunger Games". These suspenseful scenes were mostly about how Katniss gets herself into a dangerous situation but somehow is able to leave the dilemma without losing her life. Collins most likely wanted to end the trilogy with an overdose of explosions and twists to excite the reader. My favorite character in this book would be the main character Katniss. I believe that she conveys the message of the Hunger Games trilogy which is to question authority. Katniss never fully sided with anyone in Panem besides the people she loved such as Gale, Peeta, and her family. She did not commit herself to any authority because she saw the evilness and corruption each side had. Her allegiances were the main factors that decided the conclusion of “Mockingjay”. The ending of this book was very surprising but it showed how there will be no more Hunger Games books. I would recommend readers to read the first two "Hunger Games" books before reading "Mockingjay" so that they can understand the whole story line.”
