What's up everyone? I'm Gillian, but most just call me Gilly or Gillyweed (phht thanks Dani. T.T) I am one of 5 children - a middle/older sibling/twin. I have three brothers (Robin, Danny and Mathias) and one little sister (Kynicke). I am 18 years old and in my senior year of high school.
I am incredibly insane/strange/weird but thats what makes me so likeable! XD
This is my very first Shelfari account, but most of you probably know me from my sister's account that I used a few weeks back XD.
So, one of the things you should know about me is that I am gay and have a wonderful boyfriend named Alec. He is completely amazing and I am lucky to have him - we're also now, engaged!!! ^^ Don't hate or ruin my bubble of happiness please - trollers and haters need exit stage right, thanks!
I also am an identical twin to my brother Mathias - like Fred and George Weasley. Our parents find it hard to tell us apart even after 18 years! haha
I currently live in Louisiana (United States) but my home shall always be Down Under! I was born in Melbourne, Australia and moved to America with my family when I was 7 yrs old. My family is a bit of a nutjob....my parents are proud Brits who became Australian who then became American! The only one of my siblings to be born in England is the oldest, Robin otherwise the rest of us are born and bred Australians. You can imagine our accents though - bloody hilarious!
I am a proud Gleek, Potterhead and Tolkien-ite. I'm also a big comic book freak! (Hence my profile picture) My personality is crazy, insane, freaky and fun. Think Kurt Hummel from Glee, just add a kickass motorcycle and basketball player and you have ME! XD Sadly, I don't sing, so don't ask if I do. My fashion style is also a little bit more masculine (no bondage shirts, ascots or platform heels) but very similar to Kurt's. I'm more of a combat boot or Converse shoe guy, then a dress shoe guy.
I have to say that some of my best friends on shelfari are Aussie, Pam, Dani, AL and Sandra. These guys always make me smile! (Don't let it go to your heads, guys)
Alright Alright, so you've met Gillyweed and its my turn!
I'm Jonathon or Jona (I prefer Jona), Gillyweed's best friend for the past 10 years or so. I'm an American, of New Orleans origination to be exact. XD We met when he and his family moved in across the street, our eyes met and we've been in separable since. The other parts of our little quartet are Mathias (Gilly's twin, my surrogate brother) and Kynicke (Gilly's sister, my other best friend, and now girlfriend who's also on shelfari). Life is good. I'm a high school senior along with Gillian and captain of the basketball team. I'm an only child(technically) but the crazy Hawkins clan gladly welcomed me in with open arms, so I've grown up with Gillian and his siblings.
Both of my parents are deaf and I was born deaf. I'm fluent in ASL, but I can also talk - I just don't very often. I cannot hear a thing, I've never been able to and I honestly don't regret it so no pity or sympathy please. Gillian and his family are proficient in ASL as well, thanks to being friends with my family for the past decade - however, Gillian is fluent enough that alot of my deaf friends think that he's deaf! XD Awesoem best friend huh? When we were kids and he found out about me being deaf, instead of dumping me, he went and asked my parents to teach him so we can talk in my "language".
