Welcome to Book Chat: we are a lovely group, friendly, entertaining & eclectic. We read what we want, when we want... there are no limitations unless we are playing a challenge.
We also have games, swaps & prizes.....
Please take the time to introduce yourself to the group in the Hi My Name Is Thread.
Authors are a welcome part of our group, as long as they take an active part in our group and do not self promote...
A new group has been launched, Libby ~ we are looking
forward to your input!
Audiobook ♥ Haven
Audiobook devotees are welcome here! Let us know
which books and authors you are listening to as you
make your way through each day. Audiobooks have
been my drug of choice for over a decade. Selections,
narrations, sources, and devices have improved greatly
over that time period.
Hi Libby. Must have been interesting to visit Cuba. My knowledge is pretty much limited to the Buena Vista Social Club movie and their wonderful music. I had the same reax to I'D KNOW YOU ANYWHERE. In fact, I thought it bordered on sibling abuse (bullying of the protagonist by her sister) and then her inability to recognize that it was going on with her own children. Too bad because the other two books you mentioned were terrific. I don't get here as often as I'd like, must try one of your thrillers! Hmm, I taught at Brown a long time ago, don't know when your niece was there. Great school, loved the campus.
FYI, you are our Author of the Week in the Mystery & Suspense group!
That's good to hear. The prequel should be helpful to get the backstory on that triangle (ugh). I'm really looking forward to the series moving forward. I like female detectives and this one is very appealing...I liked her vulnerability, toughness and moral challenges. Keep up the good work with a great character.
Just a reminder that we will start the group discussion on Easy Innocence on August 31. Do you want to create all the topics for discussion, some of them or something else? You can send them to be by private message and I'll handle posting.
I just finished the book and loved it. Please tell me there will be a third Georgia Davis book in the series.
I was thinking that we'd do the normal book discussion first, having members respond to posed questions. The chat with you would be a follow up a couple of days later, to your point, allowing readers the chance to first openly talk about the book.
What do you think?
It's your book so promote it and our group read as you see fit! I'm just excited that we finally have it selected.
Having you lead the discussion or some part of it will make this a special month. I think, in addition to the normal book discussion, that we might have a chat with the author with questions submitted by members. Let me know if you'd be willing to do something like that.
Congrats on being chosen as book discussion author,at last. You were beaten by Agatha Christie in the Booknabbers group a few months ago, which is no disgrace !lol. Unfortunately I cant get your books here, but I'll follow the discussions.Thank you for squeezing in occasional visits to the Booknabbers,we need all the help we can get, what with the summer doldrums and the absence of Talulah. She's a big miss.
I see the book shelf still isnt growing much.I'd love to see your crime tastes sometime!lol
