With Mr. Pruitt gone and Noah, Tilly's twin brother, wanting to join the army, they have a very tough time. While they struggle, a mysterious boat arrives. In the boat are Delphine and another person who no one knows. The rest of the town doesn't know what to think of theses two people. Are these people going to harm the city?
"The River Between Us" is by Scott O'dell. This month's genre was historical fiction. Historical fiction is when the story takes place in the past and may have happened, but didn't. Historical fiction normally includes some real people such as Abraham Lincoln, but the main characters are fake. I did my enjoy this book because I think it was boring. I think it was boring because, I believe, there were not any really exciting points. I would recommend this book to seventh graders and up, but only to people who enjoy historical fiction.”
