My name is Ahmad, and I am from the Middle East, the world of to be or not to be, where the third way -- at least, for now -- is not for mankind. I am a graduate of the Art University in Tehran. I have worked for many newspapers in Iran as a journalist.
Math City is a story about people, society, and culture. Math City was written in a new concept and fantasy form. I hope that Math City makes you think, while you enjoy it.
I believe fantasy style has a major influence on the minds of people, because readers are not forced to identify any certain culture. All cultures have both strong points and weak. The conflicts in Math City are universal, internal and external. Therefore, through a fantasy story, we are able to challenge the validity of using wars to reach peace.
I think George Orwell was one of the first who used the fantasy world in a way called "Fantastic Realism." At that time, serious Literature had not yet discovered or realized its application to the greater world, where I have placed it in Math City. Searching, finding, and creating meaning in this world are my main objectives.
And now, I am writing a new book entitled Broken Line, which is more in depth than Math City. In fact, I will have a story series about our world with a new theme and a new style which also happen in the math world. I am looking for a traditional publisher.
You can read the chapter one of Math city on this page (http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/275856-math-city ); which introduces me better than any explication, and after you can take a decision for reading entire Math City.
