After visiting for a conference, I fell in love with Chicago and schemed my move to the big city. After visiting for a conference, I fell in love with Chicago and schemed my move to the big city. There's just something about the shape of the buildings, the wide expanse of lake, and the unpretenious citizens. I met my husband here and both my kids were born here. It's been great working at the public library and I enjoy meeting and talking with fellow citizens every day about books and life in the city. The burning questions: Can Illinois ever get its act together? Can I actually stay awake long enough to read more than 10 pages at night? « less
