I'm an Ohioan, and live in the snow belt near Lake Erie. Winters are long and cold but for me, it's okay. I'm a voracious reader, and have a huge habit of following specific authors. Unfortunately, being an author myself, I know there's no way to keep up with readers like me. So then I go in search of new authors. When I find one that I really like, I read everything they have. Then wait impatiently for more. I do tend to read similar types/styles of writing. So, those "if you liked this, then you might like that" really work for me. I'm so guilty of not paying attention to who and what's new (unless it's an author I'm following). I can't give you dates for when I read these books, since I've read so many. I'm a speed reader and as such can read a book an evening, unless I'm really tired, then it may take a couple of evenings.
The greatest creation that I've found are the e-books. I love carrying libraries with me. My first reader was a sony which could hold 150 books. Unfortuantely, it lasted about 2 years, had over a hundred books in it and broke. My new reader is a Kinde Fire. I love it! It's so easy to download books that I have to be careful. I could go broke just adding to my library. Now I'm trying to finish book 3 of my series, so have been staying away from reading. But when I'm not writing, you'll find me reading, something, anything. I have to keep my mind busy.
