Omgoodness Each of Shelly Fredman's books get better. I hear the latest one is the best yet. This one had me laughing so hard I cried, holding my breath so long I almost turned blue and even crying. Brandy Alexander is one of the best characters I've met in a while. She's outspoken, sensitive...well, maybe not so much, but she's smart and she wears her heart on her sleeve.

Shelly Fredman has created some 3 dimensional characters with this series. Her form of writing puts you right there with them. You'll want to scream at Brandy, take her under your wing and protect her. She can be an impetuous, and frustrating snoop who has a way of getting into trouble without even trying. The moto about starting your brain before engaging your mouth comes to mind when Brandy is in action. It's a great serie and I can't wait to read the next one and the one after that!!!

If you like to be told a story, then this is the book for you. Shelly Fredman writes like Brandy is actually talking to you. Once you start reading this book, at least I felt like I was in Philly. I could smell the smells, and hear the sounds of the city of brotherly love. Brandy is quite a character. She kind of like a turtle. She has this hard outer shell, but is soft gentle and fulnerable on the inside. She makes you laugh, want to strangle her, feel her pain when she is emotionally or yes, even physically hurt. This book is a great new addition to my list of favorite authors.

Death by Chocolate is the first book by Sally Bernethy. It's about a chocoholic who is fortunate enough to bake with it for a living. When her best friend is stalked, Lindsey steps both feet in and tries to find the person who is doing the stalking. What ensues is danger, intrigue, finding out her other neighbor isn't who he says he is...or is he? and lots of chocolate. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Once again Clare is in the thick of things. If you're looking for a great holiday mystery, this is it. Cleo Coyle's style of writing transports her readers right into the book. With her guy, Mike, in Washington, Clare is making the rounds of holiday parties and serving up her famous holiday drinks. What she doesn't plan on is finding the body of one of her part-time employees. From there things get crazy. It's another great book with sadness, excitment, anticipation, love and fun.

Hannah Reed sure knows how to trick you into believing someone else is the villian. This is the third in the Honeybee mysteries and I think it's the best so far. There was murder, mystery, explosions and of course lots of love.

Jana Deleon's series is a riot. Her characters are intense, smart and closed off. It's interesting watching them blossom in the first book. Helena is my favorite character. She is funny, mean, but for a reason, and her fashion statement is not to believed. It will be interesting to see how she fits into the second and third book.

What a fun little book to start the Christmas Season. Gertie and her bunch get snowed in at a nursing home. (I can think of worse places to get snowed in) and the trouble begins. Gertie and her bunch are such fun characters, Deb Baker's are hard to but down, but of course life calls at times. Can't wait to read the next one.

Hannah Reed's second book in The Queen Bee Mysteries is as good as the first. There is a lot of memories that are brought out this time and you learn more about "Story's" past. There are characters I keep routing for and those I wish would fall in a hole, but they all make the stories even better. Parts of it have rang personal to me as well so I feel a kinship to Story and her family. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

If you have a fear/allergy to bees as I do, this book is for you. You will learn about bees while being entertained at the same time. There are lots of suspects, but in the end Story figures it out. I have found a new favorite series to add to the rest of them and can't wait to read the next book in the series.
