This is the first book by Rose Pressey I've read but I know it won't be the last. I love the characters and how they interact with eachother. You can tell family is important to them. I hope there is a romance in the making. It had me guessing until the end and then I still wasn't sure who the killer was.

Lorraine Bartlett wrote more twists and turns than a cobra being chased by a mongoose this time. Just when you think you know who the killer is, oops maybe not!! It's hot and sticky the middle of July and Katie and her friends for Artisian Alley are planning a Christmas in July party, but it sure won't feel like Christmas if she can't get the air conditioning fixed. Not only that but one of the memebers of the Merchants association is murdered, the big brown delivery guy is missing and what is that horrid smell coming from Chad's pad? So many mysteries, so little time to figure them out. I think this was my favorite of the series so far.

Lila is deep in trouble again. This time it involves killers, drug dealers and social services. The thrills abound and the tears will flow. Lucy Arlington makes it easy to get into the story line and feel just like you are right there. This book kept me guessing as to who and why the deed was done. I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Avery Aames did it again. What a wonderful mystery!!! It had me guessing until the very end. This time Matthew is getting married, but there is a murder involved. Will the wedding go off as planned or will the killer mess up everything? Charlotte is responsible for planning the food for the wedding all the while trying to figure out who the killer of not one but two people are. To add to her job, she has to worry about Jordon and his sister Jacky...are they involved?? What is Jordon's secret?? There were tears as well as breath holding moments. All in all a great read and I can't wait for the next one to come out.

E J Copperman took me down a road that I didn't want to go down and thankfully it wasn't what I thought! Allison and her mom are asked by another ghost to prove that he was murdered. What happens after that will touch your heart. The references to "24" and the Monkees were great. Hopefully the new ghost that was introduced in this one will be in more.

Miranda James has a way of welcoming you into Charlie and Diesel's home and family that is unparalled. When I opened the book, I felt like I was home again. This time Charlie is faced with a couple of problems. One of course is murder and the other is....well, you'll just have to read the book to find out. There is the introduction of an few new characters that I hope will return as well. Another great read by Ms. James.

    A Charming Cure

This one tugged at my heart strings. What could happen in four days. That was June's mantra when she is sent to "school" She is allowed to take the advanced class, which was four days in length. I'm sure she wished she had never asked the question "What could happen in four days?" because she found out!!. Another great book from Tonya Kappes!

What a great first book!!! You never knew who was good and who was evil. It took me most *ok, all* of the book to figure out who the villan was. It was such an easy read I couldn't put it down. Now it's on to the next one in the series.

  • Strung Out To Die: A Divorced Diva Mystery (Volume 1)
    • Rated 4 stars

It was a gentle, slow moving (in a good way) mystery. I enjoy the fact that the "romance" isn't with a cop. Things could get interesting with two men in the picture. It wasn't until nearly the end when I was absolutely sure who done it, but it did keep me guessing. Hope there will be more to the series.

What a great start to a new (to me) series. The characters are real, not fluff. They come in all shapes and sizes, but all divorced. And who would have ever thought a pig would make the sweetest pet character. Can't wait to read the next one in the series. I hope there will be more to follow.
