  • The Cat, the Mill, and the Murder: A Cats in Trouble Mystery
    • Rated 5 stars

What a beautiful and sweet mystery!!! It was a mystery over 10 years old. Who was it living in the mill all that time? Why were they there and who were the creepers? Leann Sweeney has done it again. I love the fact that her characters are such pet people and care so much about the ferel cats. Now I'm ready for the next one!!!!

  • Killer in Crinolines (A Consignment Shop Mystery)
    • Rated 5 stars

If you read Iced Chiffon and thought it was good, Killer in Crinolines is better!!! This time Reagan has to prove her friend didn't kill her ex-fiancé. What happens while trying to prove it will have you in stitches. Toss in a Hunky dr. for Reagan, and you've got a prescription for a super mystery. What you won't be able to figure out with all the suspects is who actually did the deed until the very end. If this one was better than the first, and I loved the first, then the third should be even better. I can't wait to see what's in store for Reagan, Kiki and Walker next!

This is the first book in a new series by an author I have never read before. It was well written, but the characters didn't ring totally true to me. While I enjoyed the story line and the book in general, I would have liked to feel like the friends were more laid back and the police chief not so easily to accept Jillian's help in solving the murder. Because there were so many twists and turns, I will read the next one in the series, however. I will still recommend it to anyone who enjoys mysteries. I did adore Teddy.

  • Grace Under Pressure   [GRACE UNDER PRESSURE] [Mass Market Paperback]
    • Rated 5 stars

This was the first book by Julie Hyzy I've read and now I'll be reading the rest of the series and hoping there will be more. It's not your usual girl sleuth with a best girl friend to help out. This time Grace is more or less on her own. She does have two roommates who run their own business, but when it comes to figuring out the who done it, Grace has to do it on her own. There's a surprise in the middle of the book and oh wait, could there be a romance in the making? I sure hope so. I'm ready now to go on and finish the series.

  • Carbs and Cadavers: A Supper Club Mystery (Supper Club Mysteries)
    • Rated 5 stars

A hidden book series found!! I'm so glad that J.B. Stanley (Ellery Adams) brought this book back. It was totally enjoyable. It's always fun to find out one of your favorite authors has another side to her/him and it's a side that is fun and mysterious. When James comes home to take care of his dad, he isn't exactly happy about it and neither is his dad. Things turn around a little at least for James when he meets a group of over weight people and they form the Flab Five Supper Club. Homecoming is the scene of a murder which the five eventually get sucked into and feel it's their responsibility to solve. Carbs and Cadavers is an easy read and a series that I'm going to finish.

Deb Baker did it again. Gertie and her friends can get in more trouble than you can shake a stick at. This time they are investigating the murder of a man who opens a rifle range. Then there's the moonshine. Who did it and did they get caught? Guess you'll have to read the book. I've read each one of Deb's Gertie Johnson books and have enjoyed each one.

  • Murder Begins at Home (A Gertie Johnson Murder Mystery)

As always Deb Baker entertains with Gertie's antics. This time Gertie is knee deep in her mother-in-law's book writing attempt along with up to her elbows in PS. What's PS? You'll have to read the book to find out, but let's just say it's not pretty. This time there are more than one choice as to who done it. I love Gertie books. Now it's on to Murder Bites the Bullet.

    Blue Christmas

    by Lorraine Bartlett
    • Rated 5 stars

If you believe in happily ever after, this book is for you, but be sure you have tissue beside you. It's a short easy read and Lorraine has written it wonderfully. You won't see the ending coming, but when you do, maybe for just a minute, you'll believe.

  • Grannies, Guns and Ghosts (An Agnes Barton Mystery)
    • Rated 5 stars

Madison Johns has done it again. Aggie and her crew are chasing ghosts and dodging gypsies this time. You won't believe who shows up for the excitement in this book. Hopefully they stay and don't wander off again. Its a book with twists and turns those who appear to be innocent and those who appear to be guilty, but who really did it. Maybe the game of Clue will reveal the guilty. This is the second book in the series and I sure hope there will be many more to it

This is the third book in the Wishcraft series and I think it's the best yet. Have you ever seen a black rose...I mean a truly black rose? This is the center of the book. When one of the illuminacrafters is killed no one realizes it's his spell that creates them. You will go round and round in your head trying to figure out who the murder is and when it's finally revealed you'll be shocked. This one had smiles, tears, and fears. Can't wait to read the next one in the series.
