The Round House by Louise Erdrich has been chosen as the Good Reads selection for June. The discussion should be posted shortly after the first week of the month. We are currently discussing The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly. We hope you can join us!
The discussion has started for Good Reads' May book, The Book of Lost Thing. We hope you can join us!
Good Reads has posted discussion questions for The Light Between Oceans and there's still time to vote for your favorite nominee for the May group read. We hope you can join us.
Alice, I have posted your candidates for the April group read. Thank you again. And, even though you picked the candidates, you can still vote for your favorite.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green has been chosen as the Good Reads selection for March. The discussion should be posted shortly after the first week of the month.
Thank you very much. I think it is an excellent list; I will post it at month's end.
That would work. We try to post the list of candidates early in the month and close voting mid-month, so people have time to reserve the book or order it online before the beginning of the following month. You can select any book, any genre, anything we haven't read. Someone will double check to make sure your selections aren't already on our shelf then download reviews from Amazon and send out notices. It should be fun.
Don't worry. Shelfari can be confusing, even for those of us who have been here for a while.
And, we would love to have you select candidates for April.
Alice,
Each month the administrators of the Good Reads group ask someone who has been active in that month's discussions to select the candidates for the next month's group read.
This month we would like to invite you to select four or five candidates for the March group read. Any book, any genre, anything that isn't already on our shelf, just select the titles and we will do the rest. If you are interested, send me a note with the candidates. If not, let me know as soon as possible so we can ask someone else.
Thank you,
Don K.
The Orchardist by Amanda Coplin has been chosen as the Good Reads selection for February. The discussion should be posted shortly after the first week of the month. We are currently discussing Room. We hope you can join us!
I don't blame you for being paranoid. I'd stay clear of sick people if I could, too. As for lunch, tomorrow will start our first week back which is always a little hectic with scheduling and testing, so let me get with you toward the end of the week.
I loved THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN. It was a real tear-jerker. I'm glad it had a happy ending. Are you feeling better?
And welcome to Shelfari as well as our Good Reads group!
Good Reads has posted the nominations for our February group read. Please stop by and vote for your favorite book.
The discussion for Room, our Dec/Jan read, is ongoing.
I'm glad. I have no idea why they call it a cold. Dale and I have humidifiers all over the house. It's helping! I hope you keep getting better!
It's fast and enjoyable reading so far! Are you feeling better?
Welcome to the “Who Doesn’t Love a Classic?” Group!
We’re a fun, lively group so I hope you enjoy it here. Feel free to take your time and browse around. We have group reads that take place every two months, a discussion thread where people post great reviews (post yours too!) and lots of other interesting conversations taking place all the time.
…And don’t forget to introduce yourself in the Introductions thread!

Welcome to Good Reads, Alice. We are glad you joined and want to encourage you to participate.
Last month we read 11/22/63 by Stephen King. We're still discussing 11/22/63 and this month's read, Room by Emma Donoghue. But, feel free to post to any of the book discussions, old or new. The books we have read are on our group shelf. If you rummage around a bit, you can find a discussion thread for each of them.
