“ Poop Happened By Sarah Albee
Over the Non-Fiction unit one of my favorite books I read was Poop Happened. Poop Happened is a really interesting book all about poop and how people lived with poop. This book is very informative because poop is a really interesting subject. I learned a lot about what life was like without sewer systems, Gross! I also learned a lot about how and where people did their business when toilets didn’t exist. I choose this book because poop seemed like an interesting topic and Ms.Odwarka made this book sound interesting. One interesting fact about Poop is that when people had to relieve themselves they went wherever they wanted to go. In the 1800’s lots of people refused to have toilets because they thought they would die from sewer gases. Also did you know that in the Medieval times when baby’s had to relieve themselves a servant got them over a window if everything went well! I would recommend Poop Happened to anyone that likes old things and think that poop could possibly be an interesting topic.
