Hello Larenzo,
I liked your thoughts about The Odyssey. I really hoped you enjoyed it. It is such a great story, one of the best ever.
How is the Hobbit so far? Why do you think Bilbo was such an odd choice to be a burglar on this adventure?
Do you think the dwarves even stand a chance? Why does Gandalf believe in them?

Well... how did it end? What did you think of the book? Would you recommend it, why or why not?
What was the best part of the whole adventure? I really liked the end when Odysseus meets the suitors. What do you think could happen next if you decided to write a sequel?

Which was the most dangerous and why - Circe's island, Aeolus' island, the underworld or the Cyclops? Why?
Odysseus' crew is very loyal. Why? What is it about Odysseus that makes him a good leader? Would you follow him home or try to get home yourself from Troy? Explain.

Hi Larenzo,
Did you figure out exactly what Odysseus did to anger the gods? What do you think he should do to please them again? It seems silly that he keeps trying to get home when there is a curse on him. Do you think that he doesn't know that he is not supposed to get home?
Athena is a big fan of Odysseus. Has she helped him at all from the parts you read?
Odysseus is very smart. What tricks or ideas did he use to get out of situations that seemed very bad?

I was surprised you finished the book already. Which was your favorite chapter? I liked the one with the ghouls and the trip to the ghoul capital at Ghulheim.
Who was your favorite character? I liked Silas. Did you figure out what he was? Think about the clues. What kind of supernatural creature do you think he was?
What was the best thing about living in a graveyard in your opinion? What was the worst part for Bod?
Were you surprised when Jack showed back up? I figured it out literally the sentence before it was revealed. I was really shocked!

What have you enjoyed about the Graveyard Book so far? Who has been the most helpful to Bod in the graveyard? I think it's Silas. He's a really cool and interesting character.
What do you think the ghosts and other inhabitants of the graveyard will be able to teach Bod? What things would you ask a ghost from the past if you could? What types of powers do you think they have?
How does Bod eat and drink? Where does he sleep? Who is helping him?

What do you think of the Graveyard Book so far? What questions do you have? I hope you stick with it, I REALLY enjoyed that book.
Keep pushing yourself to add details and think these questions through. I am seeing some big improvements from you but you need to keep pushing.
